This is a very tasty and healthy meal which I often make, I prefer to make it with the chilli sauce, normal soy sauce can be substituted for thick soy sauce. It's a real winner amongst family & friends.
A traditional Australian favourite biscuit/cookie. This version is low in butter and sugar but still great tasting.
Hint: If you prefer your biscuits chewy, cook them for a little less time. Store the biscuits in an air-tight container.
I think the secret is in the warm milk. This is butter free and only 1 gram of fat yet still smooth and fluffy. If garlic isn't to your taste, replace it with a quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg for a spicy flavor or the finely grated rind from half a lemon for a citrusy tang.
This is a very tasty, moist, sin free loaf.
When sliced it's also great toasted, spread with low fat cream cheese. You can also include mixed nuts & carob buttons to the walnuts as a variation. You can also substitute the maple syrup for golden syrup.
The loaf also freezes well.
These rice balls have prosciutto added for the meat lovers out there. They are excellent as finger food or a light lunch with salad. The risotto used as the base for this recipe is also delicious on it's own.
