Serve at a party or give as gifts anytime someone you know is expecting a child. It is a toast (or token) to the unborn infant that welcomes them to the friends and family they are soon to be a part of, and wishes them good health in their journey here and in their life to come. Ginger has been used for many years in folk medicine, and recent studies have confirmed that ginger directly affects the gastrointestinal tract, helping to improve muscle tone and to prevent abnormally rapid and strong intestinal contractions (which is great for expectant mothers). Another version with an orange-cream frosting is Recipe #274008

You will need 1 large or 8 small coeur a la creme molds for this recipe. You can makeshift by gathering the La Creme in a cheesecloth and sticking a skewer thru the knot and hang it from a large measuring cup to get balls of La Creme. The presentation may not be as elegant, but the taste is still sure to please. Time does not inlude overnight refrigeration. Angelica is an aromatic and graceful herb. It is a member of the Parsley family, and is known mostly for it's candied stems for cake decorating, as well as the leaves for teas, tisanes, jams and desserts. It is known as 'Herb of the Angels' (hence the name) because it was believed to have ancient medicinal properties.

A fabulous always-requested recipe! I stongly suggest buying block cheeses and grating/shredding them fresh for the most flavorful macaroni and cheese you will ever taste. For a healthier version, try Recipe #272413.

This is a yummy treat that you can make either individual rolls or as a danish ring. Very simple and oh-so-yummy! For a quicker version (you won't need to let dough rise or any of those steps), take 1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls and carefully unroll them keeping them intact and sealing the preforations so that you have one oblong sheet of pastry.

This is a great mid-afternoon drink served with a platter of fresh fruit such as strawberries, kiwi, papaya and mango. Served by the seaside. If your not at the seaside, we hope this will make you feel as though you were. Enjoy. :)

This recipe can be made as a meatloaf or meatballs and is from Bird's dear old dad. with a secret ingredient (soy sauce) that no one will even taste or believe is in the recipe. The blending process is against traditional methods of lightly mixing the meat but what do experts know?, they said eggs were bad for us at one time, lol. My dad's method makes this the most tender, moist and delicious meatballs or meatloaf you will ever eat. The ketchup topping is simple, and the oven thickens it and makes a tangy sauce that there is never enough of as everyone is always wanting extra. The meatballs freeze well for leftovers or OAMC. You can just pull out any number of frozen meatballs for use in later dishes such as with a Bechamel sauce for an easy Swedish Meatball appetizer, or for spaghetti, or Meatball Parmesan hoagies, or...

For the best flavor, make the soup a day ahead. Prep time does not include making this a day ahead.

Here are a few variations from the same old burgers. This comes from Woman's Day magazine, Sept 2000 issue. NOTE!: If you choose to make just one type of burger, decrease the ground beef to 1 lb but keep the seasonings, bread and toppings to the original quantity amounts. Want some dogs to go with that? combine these with Recipe #256275 :)

This is a must try for your next cookout. Don't let the ingredient list scare you as everything is prepped the night before, you (as the cook) will enjoy the fiestas as well while receiving rave reviews on a fabulous presentation and delicious meal. "de los tres diablos" translated means 'of the three devils' (Steak, chicken, and shrimp)... Delicious little devils!
