    This is the perfect recipe for when you have an abundance of squash and zucchini! This will satisfy the most finicky eaters who don't much care for squash/zucchini. Great for potlucks!

    We have an abundance of peppers (of all sorts) growing wonderfully in our garden, so I came up with this wonderful medium heat level sauce (adjustable) that went great as an accompiment with our broiled cod fish fillets. Use it for any recipe calling for Thai chili sauce. Also great as a warm drizzle over a light salad (or how about over ice cream?). This is also a great canning or OAMC recipe! Great for gift giving/gift baskets. Recipe doubles, triples, etc. quite easily, just needing longer time to reduce down.

    Using brown rice creates an additional nuttiness to this dessert, while the dried fruit, chopped pecans, and ice cream add wonderful taste and texture making this dessert very festive. You can use any dried fruit, just chop into smaller pieces if large fruit such as dried apricots, prunes, apples, etc. NOTE: I used a heavy non-stick 2qt pot, and medium-low on my stove is a 3.

    This is a fantastic one dish meal recipe that is super fast and easy to make. And here's how this recipe came about: JJ and the McDaniel gang went on a long needed vacation. They were enjoying the blue waters and sandy beaches of cancun, but that Johnny still had a hankerin for cookin! (it's in his blood, he can't help it). Well, with all those delicious tropical fruits and flavors around, he told the gang that "well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do". So the gang helped their buddy and stormed inta the hotel kitchen wavin their pistolas high up in the air shoutin' 'Stand back!" as Johnny started grabbin for the pans. Well that frightened little manager of the hotel had him a taste,.. It was so good, that when the sheriff arrived, the manager told him that is was just a case of 'good old island fever!" The sheriff was initially a bit upset by the false alarm , but he got over it just fine after a taste of this medly. Ah, love vacations, they'z always an adventure! said Johnny.

    Sittin around the campfire one night, RickyMac of the McDaniel gang told us a story of how one day Johnny went down to the swimmin hole and was having fun all day swingin from the rope tree into the water, cowboy boots and all!. Well, that last dip he come up from the water with the strangest look on his face. He yelled "There's a snake in my boot!" He jumped outta them boots and took off runnin like a chicken. He run so fast, he run right through a field of cilantro. When he came into a clearing, feeling safe at last, he stopped, looked down at his feet, and said "Look!, I got Cilan-toes! Hence: This Chicken with Cilan-toes recipe was born!

    Pizza burgers lack many things, among them, pepperoni! Here is our version which we feel is totally 'Pizza'! Try it with our recipe #255242 which is packed with pizza flavor and requires no cooking! Suggested from a friend: Instead of patting burgers with a spatula, on a TV cooking show the chef placed an indent in the middle of the raw patty with their thumb. As the burgers cook the indent recedes and the burger keeps its shape. Haven't tried it yet but will let you know if it works. Apparently a good way to check the doneness too.

    Rumor had it that some of the McDaniel gang was "gittin too big for their britches", so Johnny (thinking that meant getting fat), stopped by 2Bleu's place and together they came up with this light, colorful, and healthy platter. Great right after a long ride with the posse, as a to go lunch, or after a good aerobics workout. Even the horses will enjoy the vegetables! :)

    Here's how to turn that salt cured ham into a delicious breakfast bacon. Do not use the ham slice you find in the refrigerated section of your grocery store. You can however, use leftover bone-in baked ham as even the smallest pieces will taste so good (nibblers). A cast iron skillet works best for a true country breakfast. The eggs are optional for this recipe, but if you have never slow cooked your eggs, or never tried them with garlic powder, it's a real treat! Leftover ham is great to chop up and use in green beans or collard greens for dinner.

Johnny did his best and came up with this recipe. Great served as an appetizer platter with Tostitos, tortilla chips, corn chip scoops, or even crackers.
