Using the spices (that would make Pancetta) on the ham give it a fairly authentic flavor. This gives this Carbonara a little zing. When I first looked at the ingredients, I thought, "Really?", but it is Deeeelicious! Caveat - this might be a twice a year thing, as I'm pretty sure the cholesterol levels are going to pushing the limit in this dish. Just don't have ice cream for dessert, OK?

    Recipe #313489

6 little Mini Bundt cakes for tea or for fun.

    Recipe #313247

Sesame sauce with a bit of zing, served over pasta & cutlets (you choose.... pork or chicken).

    Recipe #312975

Basic idea from BHG magazine. This was a HUGE hit with the family! If you like BLTs and also like salsa, you will love this twist! So easy, yet the best sandwich I've had / made in I can't remember when.

    Recipe #312974

Tiny bit if tang, Mmmmmm good.

    Recipe #312595

Potato Salad is another thing I've never been crazy about, until I found this recipe!! I will lick the spoons clean when I'm done putting it all together & cleaning up. The reason: dry mustard instead of prepared. It still has plenty of zing, but not one that says "don'cha love the mustard?" ;-) Recipe is from the United Methodist Cookbook 1984, Albert Lea, MN ala Ellen Adams. Thanks for the cookbook, Mom! Note: It's going in, as printed, for 25 people, but I often cut in half or quarters, depending on where it's going.

    Recipe #312133

These have a sweet / salty / spicy flavor that makes them hard to quit eating! Once you've tried them, the recipe may not reach to the 6 or 8 people! I found a similar recipe, here at Zaar, but not quite the same.

    Recipe #309468

Meal Master recipe that sounds delicious.

    Recipe #307871

... Couldn't find a recipe, here, that was as simple. Uses Pineapple juice for a little different flavor. We love it.

    Recipe #307862

Ala Backwoods Home & Habeeb Salloum

    Recipe #307861

Worth the work & great for that special dinner. Takes a bit more "babysitting" than throwing it in the oven & forgetting about it, though! recipe is from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

    Recipe #307860

From "On The Grill". OMGosh, this has just the right tang / sweetness. Will go on our "favorites" list. (I think the marinade might also be good with chicken or beef.)

This is a "from scratch" recipe. It is so full of flavor & leaves that "this is what stuffing should taste like"!

    Recipe #307597

    Recipe #307583

Basic pasta recipe. Jazz this up with herbs of your choice or experiment with different flours. Having fond memories of my mom making fresh pasta, I was yearning for the pasta attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. Guess I hinted enough, because my punks got it for me for Mother's Day!

    Recipe #305213

A friend gave me the cherished green peppercorns & this recipe. It's simple & scrumptious. Elegant enough for company, yet doesn't involve dozens of ingredients or hours of prep.
