    Tis the season of rabid football fans everywhere. We have several who frequent our home during the sport. I cook this up, leaving to visit my friends who aren't so rabid, letting the " boys " talk, scream, cheer and boo to their hearts content. They lick their bowls clean, then when I come home I rewash their messes. I also put out a supply of tortilla chips and regular flour tortillas for the dippers and chili burrito makers that gather. An eclectic group my DH hosts throughout the season. Please adjust any seasonings / amounts to your taste. FYI, the cottage cheese is set out for the one's who like the spicy, hot, cold combo.

    A rich dish I prepare only on special occasions. My family wishes it were more often, so they gobble it quickly. I use a food processor to shred the potatoes, your Prep time will be longer using a shredder.

    This is the basic recipe I use for Dijon chicken, I also substitute cajun seasonings, honey mustard, crushed carlic croutons. This recipe is so easy to mix and match to any tastes or what you have on hand. I also cut one of the breasts into " nuggets " then season, coat and dredge, my DS doesn't know of " Mickey D's " fast food. Easy finger food for toddlers, adjust the seasonings for toddler's taste. You can bake these " nuggets " within the same pan, but adjust baking time down for this size. I also lightly drizzle honey atop his servings, healthier and fun for him to have his own.

    I feed our dogs this mix along with available dry food, they enjoy this a lot. I also will add leftover shredded chicken just for an extra protein boost. Healthier than the dry / canned dog food available. You can also add leftover baby food jars of pure meat to flavour this. Prep time doesn't include cool down, wrapping nor freezing. We have 4 dogs from small to large, serving size depends on the size / breed of your dog.

    My sweeties enjoy these treats. We have a Greenwing Macaw and a Congo African Grey. Instead of using crushed egg shells, go to the beach, get some seashells, rinse and dry them well. Place in a freezer baggie, crush them finely with a hammer. You can make all veggies, all fruit, all nut or any combinations of each, whatever your Parrots love. Prep time doesn't include 4 hour freeze time, 1 hour cool time for baking pan method nor 20 minutes to wrap. Serving size depends on cut of bars or muffin method. Muffin method will make many more.

    For anyone who has gotten water, shampoo etc in your ears, you know how excruciating an ear infection from moisture can be. I make up small batches just for those times. When the hydrogen peroxide stops making " expoding sounds " in the ears, make a fresh batch and redate. Also helps to dissolve ear wax build-up. Saves many trips and money to the Doctor when you can prevent the infection. Can be used daily. Like any infection, if a temperature, drainage, redness or pain has already occured, please see your Doctor.

    I cut these into 1 x 1 inch bars just so I can " feel " like I'm being abit more sinful. When the calories are just the same whatever size I munch on. Sometimes being " the bad girl " is fun !

    We don't care for traditional fruitcake so I used what we do like and came up with this. So good with a light spread of unsalted butter or light cream cheese with coffee. Friends who dislike fruitcake flock to these loaves like starving wolves. The loaves go fast. Prep times includes overnight chilling.

    My sweet darling son gets tired of the same old sandwiches, so I make these when those blues hit and he gobbles them up. My DH, the comic of course, also gobbles them up but he adds a dollop of cranberry sauce to his seashell when it's filled with my Recipe #50082 and tells my son it's the red tide in the seashell. Well at least my son learns marine biology while eating his seashells. Thank goodness DH doesn't add a dollop of caviar, I know he would say it was an oil spill.
