The latest contribution from Granny's recipe box. This is a refreshing meal on a summer afternoon. Needless to say, this is one of those that gets better in the refrigerator!

    Recipe #43524

This is my Granny's "cheaters" version of Cranberry Relish. "Expected" every Thanksgiving by my brother! Prep time includes time to allow the jello to cool and begin to thicken.

    Recipe #43426

This is an awesome twist to the standard "yams and marshmallows". Perfect for those holiday meals but appreciated anytime!

    Recipe #43425

A nice refreshing sandwich spread. This is also great as a dip for veggies and crackers.

    Recipe #43413

    A great snack or appetizer

    Recipe #43412

A great veggie dip but this one is for true garlic fans! This is also a nice sandwich spread for that left over roast beef.

    Recipe #42966

A lovely and tasty dish for appetizer, pot luck, banquet table or even dessert. Prep time does not include 2 hours marinating time.

    Recipe #42961

This is something I came up with when my daughter asked for cheesy hash browns and I had no raw potatoes in the house. She now asks for "Gracie Potatoes" at least once a week.

    Recipe #42128

This is a pretty "one dish" meal where the dish is edible. Or serve surrounded by your favorite pasta noddles.

    Recipe #41561

Another simple side dish for cabbage lovers.

    Recipe #41557

The latest additional from my Granny's collection. I would file this one under decadent but delicious.

    Recipe #39990

I nice little twist to the standard hamburger casserole and great for those who don't eat pasta.

    Recipe #39922

This recipe comes from "Remember When We Cooked", with some slight variation.

    Recipe #39614

Throw this on the grill with your 'burgers or steaks and corn on the cob or potatoes and the only mess in the kitchen is your measuring spoon! I prepare everything for the grill, hand it off to my husband and sit back and relax!!

    Recipe #39464

This can be served with crusty breads or crackers. Even thick chips can be used but be sure to cut back on the salt in the relish.

    Recipe #39426

I found this recipe "taped to the top" of one of my Granny's recipe boxes. No name, just a hand written recipe listing ingredients and the note "serve with rice pilaf, 1/2 wild". I'm sure this could easily be done in the crockpot too!

    Recipe #39253

I have no idea why Granny called this "Italian" but that's what the recipe says. Her notes on the card say "Will keep 10 days or longer. The older it gets the better. I always leave over night before eating." Splenda can easily be substituted for the sugar.

    Recipe #39049

This a an excellent appetizer, snack or smeared on a bagel with a little cream cheese for breakfast. Yeild/servings is entirely dependent upon how you use it.

    Recipe #39033

Another recipe from my Granny's collection. Her notes on the card indicate "quick and delicious". I think this is a creative twist on the standard meatloaf and uses one of Granny's favorite ingredients - CORN!

    Recipe #37806

I adapted this from a recipe found in "Outsmart Diabetes Cookbook". Not a big lover of fish, I really enjoyed the flavor of this one. Note that the cooking time includes 1 hour for marinating. This can also be done in a basket on the grill.

    Recipe #37795
