A Low GL robust root soup. I like to garnish this soup with a little parsley and serve it with a slice of dark rye bread.

    Recipe #216309

This is a one pot dish and it freezes great if you have more than you need. It's a semi sweet dish but hardy at the same time with the potatoes and parsnips. It's also a medium/low GL meal.

    Recipe #216298

Ok, so there's no toast, but this still great! If not dare I say... better?

    Recipe #216210

For a fast breakfast I love this. The sweetness of the apples, cinnamon and sugar on a toasted multigrain bread is just so good.

    Recipe #216208

Here is a super healthy smoothie for a quick on the go breakfast.

    Recipe #216189

This is a simple and easy recipe for Borscht, from Classic Conran, Plain, Simple and Satisfying Food. There are many good Borscht recipes, this recipe creates a thinner but very flavourful soup which is sweet but still has that great earthy flavour. This is a great soup both hot and cold. Garnish with a swirl of soured cream or plain yogurt and some chopped chives

    Recipe #216155

This is such a healthy dish, it's low GL and can be made as a side or a main meal.

    Recipe #216152

This is so good. Low GL and very tasty.

    Recipe #216137

Low GL scrambled eggs. I'll use a light cream cheese and egg whites. For the herbs I like chives, parsley and a little oregano. Serve this on toasted Rye or a Multigrain bread.

    Recipe #216135

A Low GL Omelette great for breakfast or lunch.

    Recipe #216129

This is a great Autumn (or winter) soup. It's sweet and tasty but also has texture and substance added by the beans. Serves well with some naan bread on the side.

    Recipe #215724

I think my mom worked on this recipe my whole childhood, trying and retrying until she got it perfect. Needless to say growing up we ate a lot of Yorkshire pudding! Here's the final recipe my lifetime later. Enjoy.

    Recipe #213694

These are just satisfying. As the story goes the recipe came from an old cook book my Grandmother had. They're also great using dried cranberries instead of Dates, and wholewheat flour instead of all purpose.
