Another great, low-carb, reduced-fat dessert recipe! Awesome at the beginning of summer, when you're still trying to lose that holiday weight, but you really want to indulge yourself with a rich and satisfying *chilly* dessert! If you like this, be sure to try my other Low-Carb and Reduced-Fat recipes. Enjoy!
A rich and creamy tortellini casserole, with a gooey cheese crust. Get creative, try mascarpone or ricotta in place of the cream cheese. Or, try smoked mozzarella or fontina on top. This would also be wonderful with wild mushroom tortellini and a jar of alfredo sauce instead of marinara. Adjust the recipe to your taste. Enjoy!
If you are watching your carbs, and crave pizza, this is the recipe for you! Be creative, and try your favorite combination of toppings! You could modify this to serve as an appetizer, using mini-mushroom caps, or try it grilled!
Warm and satisfying on a cold winter's night. Serve with a loaf of warm and crusty bread. Use any smooth-melting cheese you like, such as parmesan, white cheddar, monterey jack - use your imagination! But you've got to like asparagus, because that is definitely the star of this show!
I don't think a description is necessary with a title like the one above. However, I will tell you that this recipe is the result of my many attempts to create a sugar-free, reduced-fat cheesecake that doesn't taste like like a sponge! What makes it work so well is the baking time, and the omitting of one egg called for in most traditional cheesecake recipes. I hope you enjoy these as much as my husband and I do! If so, please try some of my other Low-Carb recipes.
An unusual take on the classic chicken and rice casserole. This dish combines the flavors of chicken artichoke dip with mushrooms sauteed in white wine, and fluffy white rice cooked in chicken stock. Serve with your favorite veggie side dish, and some crusty bread - or, toss in some chopped spinach for a complete, one-pan meal.
I know there are a lot of other spaghetti squash recipes posted here on Zaar, but I didn't see one quite like this. This recipe produces a rich, creamy, indulgent, savory, and wonderful casserole! You could serve it as a side dish, with fish, pork, or chicken. Or, serve with a side salad, and you've got a satisfyingly light meal. It's healthy, no matter how you slice it, and perfect for a low-carb diet.
This is the only recipe I have from my grandma on my dad's side. My mom got the recipe from her shortly after she met my dad, and she made it often as I was growing up. Now, I make it for my family, and they really enjoy it! The recipe combines some unique flavors and ingredients, which may appear strange. But, I assure you, give it a try and you will likely be surprised at how yummy it is! Serve with veggies, and bread if you like.
An original recipe, created by my husband, Daniel. This intensely rich and decadent dark chocolate cheesecake is pebbled with tart, dried Bing cherries. I doubt you've ever tasted anything quite like it!
My mother-in-law recently served this at our baby shower. It was a tremendous hit! Delicious flavors meld together to create a rich and creamy indulgence. Serve with toasted baguette, crackers, veggies, or whatever else you please. This looks so pretty on a serving plate - your guests won't want to touch it. But they'll be glad when they do - delish! Note: cooking time is chill time.
