Every time I go to a fiesta, and they have ahu, I go back for three or more servings. This is by far one of my favorite Chamorro desserts.
Recipe from Lepblon Fina’tinas Para Guam: Guam Cookbook, 1985.
I found these on another website, which I think came directly from Kashi. I have a newfound love for Kashi's TLC Oatmeal Raisin Flax Cookies, so I figure these should be good. I have yet to try these. Hopefully they're similar. These are healthy, too. Never a bad thing :)
I add cream cheese to my recipe, which gives it a smoother texture. I am a big fan of dips, and this is my favorite by far. I don't like spicy guacamole, so this is mild, but feel free to add chili pepper if you want.
I noticed most chicken chili's have a very watery consistency, and I love my chili very thick and chunky, so I decided to concoct my own little recipe, instead. The tortilla and cheese makes it sooo much better. I like to add rice in it and cut out the tomato paste, as well.

So I only had tomato paste and canned tomatoes... no tomato sauce. I was way too lazy to run to the grocery store and decided to improvise by using cream of mushroom soup. I was surprised it turned out as well as it did.
This is a super easy dish, and adds a little spice to the usuals maranara or bolognese sauce by using taco seasoning instead. I'm a big fan of creamy sauces, as well, so of course this is a hit. Try using fetuccini or ravioli or any other type of pasta if you'd like.
