An elegant, yet easy way to start off any party!! This dip has a great eye appeal...You may have to take the first bite just to get others to join in!! They will be glad you and they did though!!Cook time includes chill time. Preferably for me it would be overnight just to let flavors blend. However, I am sure it would be acceptable after 3 to 4 hours of chill time.
My sister-in-law won't eat any other pumpkin pie but MINE!! I always keep "fresh frozen" pumpkin in the freezer for her visits. This recipe comes from "The American Woman's Cook Book" originally copyrighted in 1938.
The cake recipe comes from "Bakery Lane Soup Bowl" cookbook, but the Frosting recipe is my own. This is the best darn Carrot Cake recipe I have ever come across and I have made many! It's an easy and almost fool-proof cake.
Quick and easy solution to dinner. This casserole can easily be made ahead and put in the oven later. You have your "starch" cooking with the meat. It tastes great! Just add a veggie! Recipe is also easily doubled.
This is a little involved, but well worth the effort. A very interesting casserole with sort of a mexican flair. Cut this out of a magazine years ago and have made it ever since. Prep time is just an estimate.
A good way to "kick" up your shrimp, it's great served over rice and a real quick and easy dinner to prepare for us "on the go" people, especially when you can get those shrimp already split and peeled or if you have time to do it in the morning. Prep time does not include peeling the shrimp!!!
