I quickie recipe I can have on the table in about 30 minutes. I have to triple this for my brood. Not spicy but flavorful. Add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes as you please. Pass around the hot sauce.
A much better tasting drink. Great to have around for Summer activities and when someone gets ill. Much cheaper too!
The salt provides sodium. The orange juice potassium,(both lost in sweat) and the sugar glucose. (carbohydrate for energy)
A Quick and Easy twist on Horchata (Mexican Rice Milk) and Smoothies. It makes a nice creamy drink that is perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat poured over ice on warm day. (I shortcut this recipe by using my recipe for vanilla yogurt. Also equally yummy adjusted fat free/sugar free)
I am submitting this as a recipe assuming you have made yogurt, have a yogurt maker or: there are several recipes here at 'Zaar describing "how to make" Yogurt. This makes a mild, smooth vanilla yogurt great plain, with fruit, cereals or grains. (time does not include chilling time)
