I came up with this tonite. I love homemade burgers on the grill. There are so many ways to make them, but this was very satisfying. When I created it, I was thinking of things that I enjoy the taste of. This recipe has a little kick, but by 3 year-old ate it, and as she says "I don't like spicey". So it passed! We topped our burgers with ketchup, mustard, red tomato, pickle, lettuce, red onion, and avocado all on a whole wheat bun. Enjoy!
I put this together when I was making some other Lebanese dishes, and I wanted chicken, but wasn't sure how I was going to make it. So this is what I came up with. One of the ingredients is Sumac- can find in middle eastern markets for sure. Its a dark red spice, that adds a lemony flavor. Its so very good. I like to make this chicken and serve it with Tabouli and Hummus. But I think it would be great with just about anything you choose to serve it with.
As I was searching for porkchop recipes on zaar, I was finding I was missing an ingredients or two for most recipes I wanted to try. So, I decided to "experiment with what I had on hand. This recipe was a lot like comfort food, tasted so good, and even my 2 year-old ate it! These were fork tender and very good. I served it with mashed potatoes, peas, and salad.
I grew up eating this- usually every Friday, because my family doesn't eat meat on Fridays. Its so good, I personally consider it comfort food. Its healthy, simple, and full of fiber! I often eat leftovers in a sandwich with veggies. Goes well with olives, pita bread, raw onion, celery, carrots, lettuce.
I created this soup initially when I was trying to lose some weight before my wedding. I enjoyed it so much, I make it often. Its flavorful and no added salt! Very simple, flexible. Enjoy! My husband and I enjoyed this soup with a tuna sandwich. You can add/delete any veggies you like.
