    This went over really well with guests. I noticed when I took it to the potluck (several hours after making it) that it tasted better then when I served it right after preparing it. This makes me think that it is a great recipe to prepare night before. Also easily converted to vegetarian.... just leave out bacon.     I found this recipe in an old cookbook of my grandmother's. I do not remember her making beer but was told that she did when she was younger. I have not made this as I am allergic to alcohol, but thought I would like to try it for a summer party make my own beer and invite friends over to taste. There is a web site where you can get the malt syrup and the equipment. There are different types of malts for the beer that you like.

    I came up with this super easy recipe when another recipe I was trying to make just didn't work out for me. I was trying to make a low fat Oreo pie. I had all the ingredients and when I was getting ready to assemble and tasted the main mixture I was horrified. Good news though 2 ingredients that I hadn't put in yet lite whipped cream and Oreo cookies. And this is the result.

    I love morel mushrooms and at this time of year we can find them wild. I found this recipe and want to try it as soon as I can horde enough morels. They do not last long in the house. You can use other fresh mushrooms of your choice, I would not use all button mushrooms unless that is all you can get. Great as a side dish or as a main vegetarian dish over noodles.

    Easy, good and Spicy. This is deep fried heaven if you like peppers, I use both hot and mild peppers so that it is a surprise which on you are getting. Or if you know that there will be guests that do not like the heat you can separate out the different veggies. Most times I just put all on a platter with dips and lettuce in the middle of the plate for people to wither make their own wrap or to eat as fried hor's dourves.

    I love, love, love green chilies! This is my simple and GREAT tasting green chilie. I use ingredients that most everyone should be able to find in their hometown grocery stores. You can use this in so many different dishes. I like to eat is as just a soup on cold days. I also freeze any left overs to use in any Mexican dish that calls for salsa. Great over pork or chicken enchiladas, chimichangas, or you can melt with cheese to make a great dip. I do not use any oil in this recipe and you never even miss it.

    This is how I remember eating deer growing up. It is easy and I have never had any issues with a gamey taste. But if you are afraid of that you can soak you deer in milk for about 30 minutes. Great with fried potatoes and a salad. I like mine with steak sauce (57).
