    Banana Split Sundae
    Handle

I wanted a banana split one day and came up with this sundae using things I had on hand. It "hit the spot" and was very yummy. A good way to use up bananas before they go bad on you. If you are serving this for your family just make one for each person using these guidelines. You can add or subtract toppings (or amt of toppings) according to your likings.

    Aims' Turtle Sundae
    Handle

I love Turtles candy and I am a fan of adding nuts to desserts so I came up with my version of a turtle sundae just like a local ice cream shop would make. I had all of the ingredients on hand and it was very delicious and satifying either with or without cool whip. If you are making this for more people, just duplicate & follow the directions for each person.

    Recipe #489544

    Select
    Crock Pot Ham & Beans
    Handle

This recipe has been in my family for years. Both my mom and grandma have made it, and it's always great served with cornbread. My grandma loves to add diced onions when she serves it and I actually prefer it that way too, but you can add whatever you would like to it. Very simple and inexpensive meal.

    Mom's Crock Pot Beef Stew
    Handle

My mom made this dish when she was wanting something to make in her crock pot and she was in a mood for a hot, hearty meal. She came up with this recipe using things she already had on hand and it was delicious. I will definetly be making this more in the colder months, when I'm wanting some comfort food. You can add any more spices or veggies that you like. I might add some green beans as well. It is delicious served with biscuits or cornbread.

Aims Cheesy Chicken & Rice Casserole
    Handle

I had some boneless, skinless chicken breasts already cooked and wanted to come up with a recipe to use with them and to use some other things I already had on hand. I adapted it loosely from another recipe I had found online and it turned out great. My family and I really enjoyed it, and it's one I will definetly be making again. * You could substitute turkey for the chicken or diced onion for the french fried onions, and add any other veggies you would like.

    Select
    Polly's Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad
    Handle

This is a family favorite that is served at all our family dinners by my grandma. She loves to cook and found it in an old church cookbook she got years ago. It makes a good side dish to any dinner and doesn't take long to make. Fast and easy, this one is a keeper. * For a more festive look you could use red onion and add cherry tomatoes in it as well.

    Select
    Peanut Butter Chocolate Dip Balls
    Handle

This is another recipe that's a favorite of mine, good for taking to potlucks, and holiday gatherings and they are fun to make. Anyone who likes chocolate and peanut butter together will love these. You might want to make a separate batch for yourself as these tend to disappear fast.

    Recipe #395037

    Select
    Cracker Delight
    Handle

This is another recipe that's been in my family for awhile, my mom had it given to her years ago. It sounds really easy to make if you're needing something whipped up quickly this one might be what you're looking for. I have not made this yet myself, but I've had something similar to this before.

    Recipe #395036

    Select
    Pineapple Pie
    Handle

This is a pie that my great aunt made and brought with her one time when she came to visit. It was different and was a big hit with my family, if I remember correctly, there wasn't a crumb of it left. It was very good, and I was happy to find that my mom had gotten the recipe from her.

    Recipe #395030

    Select
    Holiday Nut Rolls
    Handle

This was an old Yugoslavian recipe that my mom found in one of her old cookbooks, she made it one year and we all loved it. It is one of my favorite things to bake, although it does take a little bit of effort to make but it is so worth it.

    Recipe #394702

    Select
    Bourbon Balls
    Handle

This recipe is one that's been in my family for years. Mom would always make some around the holidays and they are always a hit, these don't last long so you might want to make an extra batch for yourself to enjoy LOL.

    Recipe #394693

    Select
Quick and Easy Pickle, Ham & Cream Cheese Roll-Ups
    Handle

I first tried this recipe when a cousin brought it with her to a family dinner. I now take it with me to potlucks and always get rave reviews. They are very tasty and simple to make. There will be no leftovers when you make them, they have a funny way of disappearing fast. This is one of my favorite recipes to make.

    Recipe #394642

    Select
    Fudgy Brownies
    Handle

Not sure where I got this recipe, but it was given to me years ago. It makes excellent tasting brownies. There is also a peanut butter variation: just add 1/4 cups plus 2 Tbsp butter or margarine, and 1/4 peanut butter * May also sprinkle brownies with chocolate chips if desired.

    Recipe #394641

    Select
    Mrs. Shores Homemade Chocolate Pudding
    Handle

I got this recipe given to me by Mrs Shores in our Family Meals class back in high school. I always liked it, and I was glad my team made it right, because you have to be careful adding in the eggs to the heated mixture or else you wind up with scrambled eggs in your pudding like some of the other poor students did. LOL It makes for a very good chocolatey pudding, and more chocolate is never a bad thing, right?

    Recipe #394638

    Select
    Mom's Speedy Doughnuts
    Handle

My mom got this recipe off a can of Pillsbury Refrigerated Biscuits. We all love doughnuts and this is a quick and extremely easy way to make them, they are wonderful and taste scrumptious. They really "hit the spot" if you are craving doughnuts. She uses Vanilla and Chocolate whipped cake icing to frost the doughnuts and just rolls the doughnut holes in powdered sugar. YUM! * Note this is her adapted recipe that she uses, but you can coat your doughnuts with the icing or coating of your choice.

    Recipe #341595

    Select
    Shiny Frozen Strawberry Squares
    Handle

I don't remember where I found this recipe but I love strawberries and made this dessert to try it for something new. I was quite surprised, this is a light refreshing cool dessert that would be good anytime but especially on a nice Spring or Summer day. Quite yummy!

    Recipe #341446

    Select
    Mississippi Mud Cake
    Handle

I've had this recipe ever since I was a teenager, making it in Home Ec class. I love anything with chocolate and this is an awesome cake, very yummy to make. Very rich cake but very good. Good for potlucks or family dinners too.

    Recipe #341434

    Select
    Punch Bowl Cake
    Handle

I tried this delicious cake just recently when a fellow co-worker brought it to a potluck we were having at work. Everyone raved over it and I made it at home to try it, using my favorite fruits and chopped pecans. I lightened the recipe using lite ingredients when I could, so this is the lightened version. * Note: You can use any kinds of fruit you happen to have on hand and any nuts of your choice (optional). ***FYI: Zaar doesn't want to seem to display the amt of strawberries but the recipe calls for 2 1/2 cups diced strawberries.

    Recipe #326439

    Select
    Lemon Cream Cheese Bars
    Handle

My uncle requests these bars every time he comes to visit. My mom always bakes enough so he can have his own batch to take back home with him. We love anything with cream cheese and these bars are wonderful and addicting, it has quickly become a favorite recipe in our family.

    Recipe #294889

Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies (Millionaire Cookies)

This recipe was given to me by my aunt. This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever tried.
