    Recipe #444609

The rich taste of French onion soup is transformed into an easy sauce to serve with pork tenderloin. I found this on

    Recipe #357120

This soup is wonderful as a winter warmer with the butternut squash, celery and tomatoes - and is suitable for vegetarians too.

    Recipe #353413

Meatballs with tomato pesto tagliatelle is a delicious and filling pasta dish. The meatballs are super tasty with garlic and basil, while the pasta has a flavoursome tomato pesto sauce. A little taste of Italy - fantastico!

    Recipe #353402

There's more than just tomatoes in this roasted tomato soup - it's the wonderful mix of peppers, red onions and rosemary that makes it so good.

    Recipe #353358

When it's cold outside sometimes only soup will do. This hearty potato, leek and Emmental recipe is ideal as a winter warmer.

    Recipe #353356

Known as "Oulillade", this stew recipe is based on a traditional French dish of meat and beans and packed full of earthy and unpretentious flavours.

    Recipe #353355

"The idea of cooking a tough piece of pork in a lovely pepper stew to make it extremely tender and melt-in-your-mouth is something I find quite exciting. This dish in particular is one of my favourites and, unless you've got a strange aversion to chillies and peppers, I know you'll end up making it again and again. It's a complete classic. It's also one of those dishes which tastes great when reheated the day after it's been made. You've got a whole range of chilli and pepper flavours going on; from smoked paprika to fresh chillies, and fresh peppers to sweet grilled and peeled ones. Delish!"

    Recipe #353352

"The inspiration for this one comes from conversations with Icelandic and Danish friends who prize their cod. Traditionally, they prepare it in lots of different ways − pickled, salted, dried or smoked. This stew is similar to the way in which they slowly stew salt cod after soaking it (so that the excess salt seasons the other ingredients in the soup, like the potatoes). Good salt cod is quite hard to find these days, so I've adapted the recipe to use fresh cod, but you can also use hake, bass or halibut" A jamie oliver recipe.

    Recipe #353345

Lasagne is a firm favourite with everyone. Unfortunately, with all that pasta, creamy sauce and fatty beef, it can be a huge meal. My version replaces some of the pasta and meat with vegetables, and compared to an additive-filled, processed version, this is much better for the waistline. All the Italian purists that I know will be up in arms, but for me this is a great dish that leaves me feeling full of energy.

    Recipe #353222

"If you have the opportunity, get hold of as many different types of onion for this soup as you can - you need about 1kg in total. Sweat them gently and you'll be amazed at all the flavours going on"

    Recipe #353204

"The lovely thick layer of fat on this particular cut keeps the meat really moist as it roasts, and also gives you an incredible even layer of delicious crackling. Belly is a very underrated cut in the UK, but it is becoming a favourite on gastropub menus, and rightly so. If you're worried about scoring the crackling yourself, ask your butcher to do it for you, that’s what he’s there for." This is a Jamie Oliver recipe.

    Recipe #353184

Cant wait to try this 1.

    Recipe #229670

    Better than your average....

    Recipe #217716

This is a modern take on the irish classic. Comfort food at its best. Just in time for St.Patricks day. I would not suggest using american bacon for this, if you cant get british rashers bacon, use canadian bacon.

    Recipe #217329

A delightful, 15 minute pasta dish. Crisp bacon with a subtle garlic & harb sauce. I made this for the first time last night, and it was a big success! I got this recipe from saturday cooks, a british culinary show.

    Recipe #212962

i always used to use the jars of sauce, but had to start making my own spaghetti bolognese sauce because my DH HATES tomato bits and other chunks of veggies that come in the jarred sauce. You probably have most of the ingredients already in the cupboard. Personally, I think this is better than any store bought sauce.

    Recipe #212961

This satisfies any sweet tooth, its absolutely delightful. It was suggested biscotti biscuits should be served with this, but i just grab a spoon and dig in. Add more or less cognac depending on personal preference.

    Recipe #202216

This was a huge success. Peas with pasta does sound strange, and my DH wasnt keen at first, but he loved it, the peas really compliment the bacon. This is a recipe from Ainsley Harriott.
