Every time someone new tries this banana bread, they ask me for the recipe. The outside gets a little crisp and develops caramel notes, while the inside stays moist and dense.
It's also very easy to make and I always have the ingredients on hand (except maybe the bananas).
My grandmother (who is now in her 90's) made this for us when we were kids. Don't let the green chiles put you off. It really is pizza-like.
This recipe is incredibly easy and soooo good. Great as an appetizer or quick meatless weeknight meal.
