Yummy little treats. From Eileen and Debbie Brewer's The Best of Silver Hills Delicious Vegetarian Cuisine Cookbook. For a different taste you can replace the nuts with rice crispies. Cooking time doesn't include time for the clusters to set. It shouldn't take too long, but I'm not sure of the time.

    Recipe #252176

From Eileen and Debbie Brewer's The Best of Silver Hills, Delicious Vegetarian Cuisine cookbook. Cooking time doesn't include time to refrigerate. Enjoy!

    Recipe #252142

Friends of mine make gave me this recipe and now I am so excited to try it! They use it mostly to make vegan lasagna, so we want to try it in place of the crumbled tofu in our recipe Recipe #238046 to see how it tastes. From the cookbook, The Best of Silver Hills Delicious Vegetarian Cuisine. The recipe says its great served on baked potatoes, in lasagna, or with rye bread. Cooking time doesn't include time to chill.

    Recipe #252140

The best "healthy" cookie. Delicious and oh so good! These are my family's favorite cookies and we make them all the time for friends and get-togethers. They taste really great with the raisins added, but some of our friends aren't raisin fans so we usually make 1/2 with raisin and 1/2 without. I got this from the Micheff Sister, Cinda Sanders, on their cooking show last year "Holiday Cookie Swap" and its been a regular in our family the rest of the year. We usually make a double batch and put some in the freezer. These keep well in the freezer for 2 - 3 months. Be sure to store them in an airtight container. You are supposed to get about 20 cookies, but I usually have 15...maybe I make them a little bigger. ;) Update: I usually use fresh moist shredded coconut. I tried using this with dry coconut and had to add a bit of water to moisten it up enough to form cookies. Sometimes it's difficult to get the raisins to stick.

    Recipe #251317

I hear these are soft and chewy and delicious, and I can't wait to try them! Recipe by Brenda Walsh on the show Cooking with the Micheff Sisters on their Holiday Cooking Swap episode. Keep fresh by storing in an air-tight plastic container. For variety, try adding raisins, dried cranberries, or dried prunes. You can also substitute pecans for the walnuts, or use other nuts as you like. She didn't specify the amount of cookies it makes so I did an estimation based on some of my own cookie recipes, so let me know if it's off. Enjoy!

    Recipe #251316

Really quick to make, but you need a food processor. A very healthy cookie, so you won't feel bad going back for seconds or thirds! You can also make these cookies gluten-free by replacing the whole wheat flour with 1 cup brown rice flour and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. From the Bracketts 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes.

    Recipe #251315

I've made this yummy variation of a twice baked potato for years and its always a favorite with my family and friends. Enjoy!

    Recipe #250035

Jason didn't like many vegeburgers or garden burgers when we were first trying to go vegetarian. He made up this "meaty burger" to fit his tastes and now its a family favorite. Has a little bit of a different flavor from most traditional sloppy joes, but we think the taste is outstanding! Use less cayenne pepper or omit it if you're afraid it will be too spicy. It's just enough spice that my kids aren't bothered by it, but I have a few friends that the spice might be too much for them. If you want to make sure the recipe is completely vegan, check the veggie burger cans because many use egg. The vegan veggieburger we use is only found here in the Philippines and I can't remember the brand name of the one we used in the states before.

    Recipe #248894

These are the best hashbrowns I've ever had and it's hard to believe they are healthy and vegan! Nice and creamy. It's a great recipe to make ahead of time. It's easy to make in bulk and freeze for future use. These potatoes can also be made into patties before baking. Just form into patties on a cookie sheet instead of spreading them out, and bake the same. Remove from the oven when patties are golden brown on the bottom. May use purchased frozen potatoes, but make sure they are free of unhealthy hydrogenated oils. If you make them from home-cooked potatoes, it works best if potatoes are slightly undercooked. Cooking time doesn't count shreading and pre-cooking hashbrowns if using fresh potatoes. Recipe came from 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes.

    Recipe #248885

I love the Bracketts recipes. They had a successful resturant for years where people traveled hours to try their yummy treats. This comes from their cookbook, 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. These taste yummy with our Recipe #239131. You can make these ahead and refrigerate, wrapping a plate of stacked crepes in a plastic bag. Warm in microwave before serving.

    Recipe #248845

Easy and healthy breakfast recipe. In Asia it's expensive to buy imported cerals from the states and my family has become used to finding other types of "cereal" to eat! This is a great way to make cereal out of leftover rice for us! I'm surprised we found this in a cookbook and hadn't figured it out on our own yet. This is from the Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. Preparation time doesn't include cooking the rice.

    Recipe #248834

From Top Secret Recipes! This is my favorite sauce and I use it for everything! So glad to have this recipe, because it's difficult to find a Taco Bell in Asia!

    Recipe #248070

I LOVE spinach dip! Healthy alternative and fun way to eat tofu. I was going to make this today before posting this, but ran out of time. I'll give an update once I make it which if I can help it should be very soon! This is another one of my new recipes from Neva & Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. Cooking time does not include time needed for dip to chill which is 2-3 hours. Update: I know honey isn't vegan which is why I listed or sugar, but I personally don't mind using honey. So, if you want this meal to completely vegan for you, don't use honey. I did try this today and was happy to get that taste I'd been missing. :)

    Recipe #247994

Sounds so yummy! This recipe is from Neva & Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. Update: I tried this today and was really pleased with the results! I used it with recipe #161324 by Tigerduck and I couldn't tell it wasn't real sour cream. Of course you can tell its not the real thing when eating it plain, but it's still nice. Best alternative when mixing it with other ingredients you would use sour cream with though. I'm sure I'll get the same terrific results when I use it in a black bean soup I plan to make tomorrow.

    Recipe #247817

Quick, easy, and healthy. I'm really excited to try this! I LOVE cream cheese but I try not to eat it much as it's not the healthiest. Hoping this will be a wonderful substitute! Another recipe from Neva and Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. If you want this meal to be completely vegan for you, don't use honey but use sugar instead. I personally use honey, but it's not vegan. Enjoy!

    Recipe #247810

This is a variation of Quick Tofu Sour Cream by Neva & Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes.

    Recipe #247803

A fun way to eat tofu and vegetables! I'm dying to try this. It says these can be cooked in the oven or on the barbecue, but I'm sure it would taste best on the barbecue. From Neva & Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. Just got this cookbook 2 days ago and it's full of yummy looking healthy recipes! If you want to make this meal completely vegan just use sugar instead of honey.

    Recipe #247781

A variation of Basic Vegan Cream Cheese Spread by Neva and Jim Brackett's 7 Secrets Cookbook to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reverse diabetes. If you want this meal to be completely vegan for you, don't use honey but use sugar instead. I personally use honey, but it's not vegan. Enjoy!

    Recipe #247776

Healthiest alternative to alfredo and it's easy to make. Just blend ingredients together and heat. I adapted this from my Creamy Vegan Pesto Pasta with Broccoli (Recipe #241451) to a simpler recipe. Tried it today with my Walnut Meatballs (Recipe #239125) and it tasted terrific! My husband has always been an alfredo lover and we both love the added taste of pesto in this creamy sauce (I don't think it would taste as good without the pesto). Hard to believe it's as good for you as it is! My husband also likes to sprinkle some parmesean cheese in the sauce. Though not vegan anymore it does taste great with it still being much healthier than most creamy sauces.

    Recipe #246616

So yummy and good! We tried this recipe a week ago and as soon as it was gone we made it again! Can make into great breadsticks to accompany an Italian meal. The recipe makes two flat loaves and you just cut them into strips. Another great recipe by the Micheff sister Brenda Walsh. As an option she sometimes adds sliced Greek olives, but I haven't tried it that way yet.
