    Recipe #515008

Found this recipe by Elise on Simply Recipes to make another recipe - Posole: Pork and Hominy Soup - but it looks like I will have to make it again, because there are no leftovers!

    Recipe #515006

Mom use to open a box of Creamed Peas and Pearl Onions - I loved that stuff ! The other day I remembered and went in search of a quick and easy recipe. I found hard to make ones, complicated ones, and pretty close ones....put them together and came up with this one that was pretty much " just right."

    Recipe #511564

A warm you up dish from Susan Branch's website ( This turned out so yummy wanted to be sure and keep it around to make again. I think this would be an great dish to serve as a side with leftover Christmas Ham and am keeping it with my Christmas Menu for just that reason.

    Recipe #511496

I got this recipe from Marcy while at the Bargain Shop on Joint Base Elmemdorf/Ft Richardson, Alaska for stuffed butternut squash and combined it with a recipe from Pioneer Woman of how to roast Butternut Squash. In my version, the Butternut Squash is cubed, after peeling and baked in butter until soft, then the meat mixture is combined. This makes a wonderfully filling casserole. Note: In Marcy's original recipe the bowl of the squash, where the seeds were, is filled with the sausage mixture.

    Recipe #509911

Have been looking for a recipe for Sourdough Sauce for Years ! Finally found one posted 5 years ago ! Don't you LOVE the internet ! They called it Cranberry Ketchup and said they got the original recipe from "The Good Stuff Cookbook", but had changed a few things. Serve this sauce with pork or turkey or salmon.

    Recipe #509463

Every Fall my friend would invite all of the Bargain Shop crew to her house for a Brat Dinner. She has passed on, but every Fall I remember her and celebrate with her German Potato Salad. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all do . The one thing that Gertrude stressed - do not finish this recipe until you are just about ready to serve.

    Recipe #508447

The other day I found two cans of baby clams in the pantry and sent a shout out on Facebook for a good recipe to use them. A Facebook friend shared their Family's Clam Chowder Recipe with me ! With my friends permission, I am sharing the recipe here on This was the easiest and best Clam Chowder I have ever had !

    Recipe #507787

    Recipe #499518

This recipe was part of an article about Julianna Margulies in Good Housekeeping May 2013. Searching for it online did not give me a recipe to save - so I am submitting it to keep ! They just sounded so good and easy enough that I could make them. I hope so ! Original recipe stated use 1/4 Cup - People who tried stated a Tablespoon or Scoop makes the 18 macaroons.

    Recipe #499517

Found the recipe - Lost the recipe ! Trying to remember the recipe because it turned out SO GOOD !

    Recipe #499419

Not sure where I found this recipe - but it makes a wonderful keep on hand soup mix or a great Jar Gift Idea. Rinse beans in cold water and sort our shriveled ones. Dry on paper towels overnight. Layer beans and spices n a mason jar for a pretty presentation. Package the pasta in a separate package or jar, and add a hand-written copy of the " How To" for a great gift. or make up several jars for yourself.

    Recipe #499206

This recipe came from Pampered Chef - we fixed it tonight, with a few changes , and it was WONDERFUL ! ...but can not find where they have the recipe to keep it - and do not want to loose this one. So - here it is with our little changes.

    Recipe #498074

The original recipe came in the packet of Organics Basil I got today. I cooked it up and it was so awesome that I had to save it with a few changes. Roasted Pine Nuts tossed with Linguini and fresh Basil and Spinach. Red Pepper flakes give it a kick balanced out by the nutty flavor of the pine nuts !

    Recipe #488997

I had made up a batch of Applesauce, just chopped up 4 red and 4 green apples, skins and all, sprinkled with cinnamon, cooked in the microwave and blended until smooth, and a batch of yogurt cream cheese, mixed that with some yogurt butter and had some crescent rolls on hand.....turned out way yummy and wanted to share. This is NOT a sugary sweet treat...unless you want it to be

    Recipe #488993

Oh No ! I lost my cookbook for Marlboro Texas Red ! I had the paperback cookbook recipe for this - and have fixed it for YEARS now. The best flavor ever - but Way too hot for me. My hubby, however, loves it's head sweat producing heat. To tame it down so I,too, can enjoy it, I add two cans of rinsed Pintos and a can of chopped tomatoes. Believe me - it is still plenty hot ! Instead of the Suet the recipe calls for I cook 1/4 lb of bacon down and use the grease from it. Since the beef I use is very lean, the end result is not grease laden, but I do cool it to remove any grease that rises to the top. To serve I place a slice of cornbread on the bottom of the bowl, ladle the chilli over and top with grated cheddar cheese

    Recipe #488660

Something different for a quick and easy breakfast brunch. Two pieces of bread, peanut butter on one side, jelly on the other dipped in egg. For the syrup to pour over the french toast I pop two Tablespoons per serving in a microwave bowl.

    Recipe #484889

Not your old box Mac and Cheese ! I found this Recipe on ifood when looking for a Grown Up style Mac & Cheese and I think this is it ! Making this in 4 individual serving bowls, and I top with crumbled bacon and bread crumbs just before removing from oven that last few minutes of cooking to give it just a little extra grown up touch.
