    Recipe #318118

This recipe has been made in my family since my grandmothers days- I am not sure of the origins but it could be some fusion recipe - maybe it was my grandmothers own creation but its a favorite with our family. Any firm fleshed white fish can be used. This goes well with rice or pasta or just with some good hearty home made bread

    Recipe #223940

This recipe has won me many compliments- Its simple, healthy eating and easy to prepare.

    Recipe #223939

OK so I could not really come up with a catchy name but once you have tried this way of preparation you will enjoy making it often--I constantly try to avoid using oil, butter as much as possible and at the same time try to blend yummy flavors so that the end result is flavorful as well as presentable. this is made completely in the microwave, the flavors are retained as the cooking time is less and also the fish does not lose out the nutrients that happen when fish is fried or cooked for a long time. I have tried and tested this way innumerable times and is a hit with my family. You can use any white firm fish or Salmon comes out just as good. I like it best when I use fillets of Sea bass.

    Recipe #196024

All of us at times have some bread left over and most times its either too little or just not enough to do much wth it BUT that little bit can make a nice quick dessert for tiny fussy eaters or an after lunch / dinner sweet. It also can be a little surprise when you vist a friend, neighbour, just about any one..

    Recipe #195411

This recipe is my very own creation. Together with Salmon, mushrooms, some herb seasoning and cabbage leaves makes this quite a presentable dish that can be an entre/side dish or as a starter for a sitdown dinner/ lunch. The cream sauce brings out the flavor in the salmon, the sauce is very simple to make with ready to use ingredients from a bottle. The lemon grass paste is available in tubes in Australia ,maybe its also available in large grocery stores-if you can't get it you can leave it out

    Recipe #194762

Recently my friend who just returned from a long trip and is really averse to cooking or being in the kitchen SOS'd me-'say I have not been to the grocery store and have to get something on the table for this evening what can I do? Well what do you have in the house? And she gave me a real short list, chicken breast strips, bread, couple of bottles of some sauces! bread crumbs, eggs, oil-- etc so as we were talking I came up with a simple but delicious tit bit that could be put on the table for a light evening meal. After i had finshed giving her an 'on the spot' idea , I started feeling hungry for it and so I went into my own kitchen to dish up this Yummy recipe and gave it a name. I am sure it will be a hit with many who try it out.If you have any green herbs like cilantro or parsley please feel free to add to it , even a green chili chopped fine will be just great. If you would like to turn this into a regular full meal, you can make a white sauce with cheese and pour it over the triangles, and bake it for 5 minutes at 190 degrees. Serve with a crisp green garden salad

    Recipe #194645

This stew is made either with chicken , lamb or tendercuts of beef that is combined with the ever favorite Aubergine. The red Cayene pepper powder makes it just perfect to open up the sinuses and brave the cold winter evenings. try it with Crusty Bread or with pasta of your choice.

    Recipe #193859

This mango ice cream is made with pure mango pulp (preferably Alphonso mango pulp available in 1KG cans from shops stocking Indian imports). It's rich and smooth and just yummy. The sugar is minimal and can be replaced with a sweetener like Splenda or Equal. Please use half a can of Carnation evaporated milk, one can of condensed milk and one of Nestles pure cream. I kept getting the red x's each time so had to use the gram units!

    Recipe #193238

Scrambled eggs made this way is more of comfort food, the addition of fresh cilantro and flavorful fragant green chilli makes it a Sunday Brunch favorite Or as a side dish for a light evening meal , also good for those just getting over a fever, cold as it helps kick start the tastebuds again! I go all the way and make it with Butter- Note do not let the eggs get hard or dry by overcooking them. These can be served with Hot toast. Or as a filling in for a wholewheat wrap e.g. a tortilla or Indian flat bread cook the eggs a little more

    Recipe #192819

I was experimenting various ways to make savory pancakes that could be eaten as a snack or combined with a main dish instead of bread rice or pasta- Experiment was successful- Found this a favorite with fussy eaters too The Pancakes can also be made larger so you can fill it with your choice of filing, as they are Dill flavored fish/prawns or crab meat can be used.

    Recipe #192272
