Alternative version of my recipe for Algerian Date Balls that calls for anise in the recipe. My husband and I don't care for the anise, so I tweeked the recipe and used the rice crispy cereal version. my husband loves them. You may also decide to roll into flaked coconut tinted with food coloring for a festive look instead of the powdered sugar. :) Prep time includes cooling time.
Delicious and simple. My mom gave me this recipe. I chose to make it with canned peaches. You can use the fruit of your choice, either canned or fresh. Serve it by itself or along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
A Thanksgiving favorite of our family. This dish is amazing as a side dish with the main course or is sweet and yummy enough to follow in the dessert line. I am always asked to bring this dish along to our big holiday dinners.
A verstile cracker spread or roll into nuts and make a cheese ball out of this recipe. I am always getting asked for this recipe when I take it to functions that require finger and snack foods. Hope you enjoy!
