This is super easy and super fun for Easter. Skip the savory eggs for Easter breakfast and try this over-the-top sweet version instead. Plus: Pound cake fried in butter is always awesome. Enjoy! Borrowed from: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2014/04/cadbury-creme-egg-in-hole-toast.html

    Recipe #515457

THE perfect summertime cocktail to quench your thirst. www.food.com

There are a bajillion chili recipes on here, but this is my fave. My neighbor Renee, a Midwestern gal, made this for Halloween a few years ago and i fell in love. Didn't know I loved chili so much! Posted at the request of another great gal...ncmysteryshopper! Update 10/7: ncmysteryshopper had some difficulty finding some of these specialized pinto beans so she created a similar chili with the same flavors, but without the fancy beans. For those of you in a non-pinto friendly area, you can give her recipe #329160 a try-looks yummy too!!

    Recipe #328352

This is the cake my husband's mother would make for him every July on their family camping trips which was also his birthday. He and his siblings LOVED it. It has a secret ingredient..dates! Makes it moist and toffee-like and you have NO idea they are in there. There are similar recipes on here, but none just like this showstopper. I recently got the recipe from my sister in law Deb and she said "I know for a fact none of the other sibs knew there were consuming dates-sweet irony." I told my hubby, "your favorite childhood cake has dates in it." He said "No way, there is no dates in it." Too funny. Made for a recent family dinner...my son scarfed down 3 pieces and of course, neither child tasted the dates..the next generation is hooked! Great with vanilla ice cream.

    Recipe #328348

This is NOT my kinda cookie. I like a doughy, chewy, soft BIG cookie, BUT everyone in my family adores these little hard crunchy cookies and I have to admit, I love them too! Even when my Grandmother was older and had a hard time getting around, she'd make these from scratch and mix them together by hand (for the last part). To make life easier, she would make the dough the first day, chill it overnight and bake the next. They are ONLY great straight out of the freezer. With a cup of tea? Wonderful and just how GG (Gran) used to enjoy them. A Christmas or birthday didn't go by without receiving a bag of these straight from the freezer and I plan to continue that legacy.

    Recipe #328336

I'm always looking for different lasagnas...a break from the red sauce ones. This is from October 2008 Martha Stewart mag and it is really, really delish. This, of cours, has my tweaks in it...more cheese, light milk, etc. They show it in individual baking dishes, but I like to make it in one 9x13 pan...seems a little less precious and perfect and then people can easily go back for seconds!

    Recipe #328332

My auntie Anne made this at a summer gathering and I was HOOKED. The broiled feta really takes this pasta salad/dish OVER THE TOP!

    Recipe #328331

Found this in Parade Magazine in the Sunday paper..it really is delish, easy and a great cold appetizer that is perfectly portable for parties (say that 5 times fast!) Plan ahead and make the pepper "relish" so the flavors can develop. Cooking time doesn't include the day or two to chill mixture. A super quick shortcut would be to use jarred roasted bell peppers.

    Recipe #328309

This is an oldie I found in a Williams Sonoma booklet. Really great for fall...would be a great starter to any dinner party, but i'm also thinking of kicking off our thxgiving meal with it!

    Recipe #328304

My aunt Karen gave this to me and it is always a hit. So simple, yet a little different and the dressing is GREAT.

    Recipe #328299

My grandmother had two cookies she was famous for...this is one of them. they are crunchy, rich, fancy and almost a bit like brittle candy. These are sandwich cookies and great for parties and having with tea.

    Recipe #328297

I'm a chocoholic so it is a big deal when I say that THIS is my favorite cake. It is simple, yummy, makes two small cakes or 1 large and is a little ugly. You do need two eight inch spring form pans or 1 9 inch spring form pan...worth the investment...i make two eight inch cakes. Very moist and keeps for TWO WEEKS in a sealed container just getting better with time. You'll be asked for the recipe. This makes a great gift, housewarming, dessert or great as a snack with coffee.

    Recipe #328296

This isn't "rocket" science...get it? (wow, I'm a dork) Anyway went to the farmers market today and got fresh arugula, honeycrisp apples, and the cleanest, freshest goat cheese I've had in a long time and this salad was the result. Nothing like a quick and easy, yet still elegant dish to let the fresh flavors shine. With 2 tiny kiddos underfoot, i'm all about 5 ingredients or less these days! recipe #203705

    Recipe #255753

Found these in Real Simple and they are yummy. Succulent, moist, a nice departure from a normal burger and a great way to sneak some veggies in on your family. Served them with garlic fries, hot out of the oven. This is my little ode to Bergy, our Queen of Burgers.

    Recipe #245778

SO simple, so yummy, so quick! I like to cook the veggies almost underdone so they are tender, yet still very crunchy. Because of so few ingredients, you must use good quality olive oil. Believe me, I skimp on fancy schmancy ingredients elsewhere when I cook, but for this, bring out that good bottle!

    Recipe #239114

This could not be simpler and was a big hit at my daughter's school party today. It really is just a big thrown together bowl of ingredients... which is now how I have to cook with 2 tiny kiddos and no time!

    Recipe #234851

Really not a recipe..just an assembling of easy peasy Trader Joe's ingredients!

    Recipe #234850

Very simple, very yummy. This is my favorite kind of cooking...just a few quality ingredients that really compliment each other. Adapted from Paola di Mauro, but given to me by my dad who is a sophisticated foodie who also appreciates simple tastes.

    Recipe #223319

From Ruth Reichl's Garlic and Sapphires...easy, yummy, I love it for a simple dinner if I'm too tired to really cook. This is a savory matzoh brei.

    Recipe #215465

Mario Batali's that I've adapted to use a few more common ingredients...I wasn't much of a stew person until I tried this and was in love. This is so simple, caramelized, and rich, yet lighter due to the chicken stock, that it is now my goto stew recipe.
