This is the BEST (non-chocolate) dessert I have ever made. I must credit the idea for the recipe to my boss's husband, Harold. When I made these for the family at Christmas time, I had a hard time convincing everyone that I actually made them and didn't buy them from a pastry shop (and I'm known for my desserts)! Please try them...they are EXCELLENT!
This is a GREAT recipe for celebrating the arrival of spring! The lemon makes it light and fresh-tasting and the flavor is so good...you won't even miss the meat! (Recipe was adapted from Canadian Living Magazine)
This is the easiest side dish you will ever make! Everyone we have ever served this to cannot believe there are only 2 ingredients. Even non-zucchini lovers will come back for seconds. We use the exact same recipe for asparagus.
An easy recipe with a good flavor combination...a nice change from standard spagetti with tomato sauce. Although the bacon really adds to the overall flavor of the dish, it can be omitted for a vegetarian meal.
My husband and I would never think to eat a piece of blue cheese - it's just too strong - but the flavor it gives this dish is incredible! Try it just once and you'll be adding it to your list of favorites!
The secret to these best-ever, melt in your mouth shortbread cookies is toasting the flour and baking the cookies in a slow oven. Mmmm... Original recipe adapted from Desserts By Phipps in Toronto. Prep time includes refrigerating dough.
This salsa has a very nice flavor & isn't too hot if you omit the jalapeno seeds. It's great for using fresh veggies from the garden but can easily be scaled down to accommodate non-gardeners. A food processor makes quick work of the chopping, but be careful not to overprocess or you'll end up with mushy veggies. Wear gloves when handling the hot peppers.
