    This is delicious served with chips as a dip or served as a side dish on a hot summer day. Go light on the jalapeno at first and add more if needed; I find a lot of variation in the level of "hot". You can also just dice up some pickled jalapeno slices instead. Cooking time is chilling time.

    There are hundreds of smoothie recipes but this is my favorite. This came about by accident due to me running out of my favorite raspberry yogurt. You can use any flavor of yogurt but for some reason the black cherry really makes this zing!

    I got this recipe from my mother inlaw, it is cheap and easy to put together. I love to throw this together on a cold, snowy Sunday morning - then I can just throw it in the oven later and go about my business while dinner cooks. Add a salad or crusty itallian bread for a side and you are all set. I sometimes use turkey sausage for a lower fat dish.

    This originally comes from an old "Farm journal's best ever recipes" cookbook. I made a few changes to make it more healthy. The original recipe calls for sour cream and 3/4 cup of sugar. I cut the sugar down to a 1/4 cup - you may need to add more to suit your tastes. This is called a salad but I usually use them as snacks or a light dessert. Serving size depends on how full you fill the muffin cups, I usually get 14. Cooking time is freeze time.

    I based this on a parfait sold in our cafe at work. The yogurt is made rich and creamy by the addition of pudding mix! You can use whatever fruit you like, I like to use blueberries but whatever is in season will work.

    I swiched around ingredients from several recipes to come up with this version of a vegetarian taco soup. I like black beans best, but you can throw in whatever you like. This is my fall - back recipe when I need something qick and easy - yet good enough for company. Dress the finished soup however you like - sour cream, cheddar cheese, or crushed tortilla chips go great with it - but on its own this soup is filling and nutritios and very low fat.
