    Healthy Chilled Vegetable Pizza #RSC
    Handle

Ready, Set, Cook! Hidden Valley Contest Entry. This is a recipe that I threw together as a quick appetizer. I tweaked my original recipe and improvised with what I had on hand. This Vegetable Pizza has so much flavor with the greek yogurt and Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix, everyone agreed it is better and received great raves. Great Make A-head recipe. Can be made as an appetizer or main dish.

    Outrageous Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes!
    Handle

Sometimes when a craving hits, you don't have time to make the full blown version of an outrageous Boston-Cream-Pie ... so this is the next best thing! My son recently craving my Boston Cream Cake settled for this a less time consuming version. Although you start with a cake mix for the cupcakes, the pastry cream and ganache make these little baby's a perfect individual dessert to serve! Family Favorite ;)

Have had this recipe for ages and just noticed I don't have it here on Zaar. This is a fabulous, simple and delicious dip great for entertaining. Perfectly Pecan Praline Cookies
    Handle

As seen on Paula Deen's Cookie Swap.... I love anything Praline so I'm posting this to try. They look absolutely scrumptious. Praline inside a cookie dough then sprinkled on top of the cookie that is drizzled with melted white chocolate. Recipe by Susan Butts, a guest on the Food Network Special 2009.

Shrimp With Spicy Bloody Mary Sauce
    Handle

This is no ordinary shrimp dip. the sauce is a zesty blend of diced tomatoes, worcestershire sauce, paprika and garlic, spiked with a touch of vodka. This recipe was created with the popular Bloody Mary drink in mind. Taking the ingredients I like in the drink, adding some consistency to the blend with the canned diced tomatoes and bottled chili sauce. Although the seasoning and tapatio lend a bit of heat, it doesn't overpower the other flavors. Serve in mini martini shot glasses gives your guests a personal and unique appetizer. Great for entertaining Shrimp and sauce can be made 1 day ahead. Cook time does not include chill time.

V's Soft Turkey Taquitos With Southwestern Dip
    Handle

Every year my dad would make these taquitos with leftover turkey. The corn tortillas are lightly fried in oil, rolled with turkey and sealed on a griddle and come out soft with a nice crunch with the turkey still moist and delicious. These are awesome because they are not deep fried or baked. I took over the tradition and have been making these for years. My family won't eat any leftover turkey in any other form except these soft taquitos. We look forward to these as an appetizer or a meal served with my own Southwestern Dip, Cheese Sauce, Salsa and my Chunky Guacomole the day after thanksgiving.

    Kentucky Pecan Pie
    Handle

I saw Paula Dean make this on the Food Network. It's delicious. It tastes like a rich and decadent brownie in a pie crust. (I made my Recipe #192327 and used pecan cookie pieces, which are more coarse chopped pecans) Served warm with a dollop of ice cream. Oooohs and awwwhs all around. Put it here for safe keeping.

    Crispy Potato Cakes
    Handle

Love to make these with leftover mashed potatoes. I will make a batch of these golden brown cakes and serve with sour cream and applesauce for nice snack on the weekends. Pure comfort food here. Recently when my son had his wisdom teeth out, and was so hungry, I whipped these up, which gave the texture he needed and the taste was perfect and satisfying. Posting for Trevor. Scored major mommy points for this one ;)

    V's Simple Savory Mexican Quiche
    Handle

This quiche is beautiful & delish! If you crave something savory for breakfast try my simple quiche. These are ingredients I always have on hand and can whip this up a head of time or in the morning. Measurements can be altered to taste. If you like spicy, savory add more, if not, add less. The salsa gives this quiche a nice kick and the flavors of cilantro, sausage and potatoes add to the taste and textures. This is a family favorite in my house. Great for overnight company as it feeds alot. Serve with sliced avocado, sour cream or salsa on the side.

This snowball cake was on the cover of food & family magazine I received yesterday, it looked so good, I had to make it last night. It was exactly as I hoped. I used my Pampered Chef Batter bowl to bake mine in and it turned out great. Can't wait to make this during the holidays

Focaccia Flat Bread Homemade (Bread Machine)
    Handle

My version of Italian flatbread, brushed with olive oil and flavored with grated Parmesan cheese, galic salt bread heavenly. Cut it into squares and top with Prosciutto Panino rolled in Mozzarella cheese and toasted under the broiler for 5 min.... oh my, this is dangerously good! It is so easy to make. Can't wait to have this with a bowl of soup or top with Pizza topping, or to just dip in garlic olive oil. This comes from a bread machine cookbook with instructions to layer ingredients liquid first. Yummers! :) Family Favorite! (Cooking time does not include dough cycle or rising)

    V's Easy Pulled Pork Sammy's (Crock-Pot)
    Handle

Sometimes I don't post recipes because I make them all the time and they seem so basic to me. Recently a friend asked if I would share my technique for my BBQ Pulled Pork Sammy! This is a little similar to some I've seen on Zaar, but instead of adding water to the pot, I dilute BBQ Sauce with water which adds even more BBQ Flavor to these sandwiches. Great for Tailgating or make and wrap them up, steam in the Microwave in the roll bag for 1 minute then quickly wrap them individually and sneak them into the football game ;) as well as camping!

    Handle

I have my favorite Banana Nut Bread so why not make the same flavor piping hot in a pancake. TIP: I didn't have buttermilk so I added 2 Tbls of white vinegar to a measuring cup filled to the 2 cup line, let sit for 5 minutes and had buttermilk ready for this recipe.

Saw this recipe on Food Network. Good Eats. Looks like something my family will enjoy! Putting here for safe keeping! ;) Looks a lot like how I make chicken parmesan, will try it with the compound butter... not big on tarragon (licorice flavor) not using full amount suggested (1 tsp) but tweaked to my family's taste.
