This is a wonderful Mexican flavored dish that will please everyone. My friend Maggie was quite a woman, so it gives me great honor to share her recipe with you. She raised 4 kids while working the farm, then late in life became a business woman. She also became the oldest president and the first female president of our local Rotary club. Maggie and her husband Vince were married almost 60 years when they passed away, just a few days apart. A romantic ending to a life filled with love.

    Recipe #182620

I absolutely loved these as a kid, and I still do today. Boneless porkchops work best for this recipe. I use a short grain stickie rice so it stays moist. EDITED May 30, 2007 to correct amount of salt!

    Recipe #182540

This is a quick side dish that's easy to make. I like to eat the leftovers for breakfast!

    Recipe #182534

I love this simple dish. Even those who aren't crazy about zucchini will like it!

    Recipe #182390

I grew up on an avocado ranch, so I'm pretty picky about guacamole. This is our favorite recipe because of the lime juice and the mayo. The mayo makes the dip creamy and flavorful plus it lasts longer before turning dark. I use Best Foods/Hellmans mayonnaise.

    Recipe #182389

This old family recipe is the best of the best. Plus you can make the dough up ahead of time, keeping refrigerated until needed. That lets you have delicious old-fashioned yeast rolls or cinnamon rolls on the table in half the time. (I have modified the directions to be more clear about how much flour to use.)

    Recipe #182388

Another old family recipe. My great grandparents had a pecan ranch down in Texas until the Depression hit, so pecans have been popular in our family for a long time. This recipe is the culmination of a century of pecan pie baking and tasting!

    Recipe #182387

This takes a little time, but it's worth it! Pie can be prepared ahead of time and stored in refrigerator until ready to bake.

    Recipe #182384

Easy coleslaw with a hint of honey. Even better if you make it a day ahead!

Recipe #182383 the truth is out...I love spam! This makes a terrific sandwich spread :)

    Recipe #182317

Simple and flavorful fresh salsa. Adjust the individual amounts as desired. Serve as a topper for tacos, burritos, etc or just eat with chips.

    Recipe #182266

    Perfect texture, perfect flavor!

    Recipe #182251

Simple to make and lots more flavor than the store bought jars. Good with or without the meat.

    Recipe #182243

My mom is quite famous for these cookies. Everyone loves them.

    Recipe #182242

I came up with this dish, but my sister loves it so much that I had to name it for her. Sometimes I saute the rice and vegetables ahead of time to save time at the last minute. I use whole canned tomatoes and don't break them up much, so that my picky hubby can eat around them.

    Recipe #182241

Our kids begged for this every Friday when they were growing up. Now they ask for it everytime they come over. One of the very few things hubby knows how to cook

    Recipe #182193

This makes flavorful "soupy" pinto beans that are great for wet burritos. Our family always called these "make your own burritos" since everyone's end up so unique. Serve with recipe #202702

    Recipe #182188

Light, fluffy and flavorful. It takes one more step and one more bowl to clean, but I think it's worth it :)

    Recipe #181831

I like to make this for family get-togethers. It's nice because you can make it up ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until you're ready to cook. In fact, I think it tastes better if you do!

    Recipe #181723

Embarrassing because it's so easy and because it's definitely not diet food! The first time I made it, my husband, son and I ate it all up and didn't leave any for our daughter who was late, another reason to be embarrassed...
