This is Presidential candidate Barack Obama's family chili recipe that he's been using for years. I live in Denver and saw something about the Brown Hotel making this recipe for the guests during the 2008 Democrat National Convention.

    Recipe #321236

Tangy and sweet, who couldn't resist?

    Recipe #305859

The South will rise again! This is a layered drink in a tall shot glass made to represent the Stars and Bars. It actually tastes like a red hot - like the ones my grandmother would slip me in church.

    Recipe #231530

I got this recipe from a news report. A guy was on probation and came back from lunch. He had to submit to a breathalyzer. He failed. He claimed that he didn't drink but only ordered a burrito at a stand. The judge then had the burrito stand give up the recipe. They did another breathalyzer after eating the burrito. Sure enough, even though it is cooked, all of the alcohol doesn't leave. Just be forewarned!

From EatingWell Magazine December 2005/January 2006

    Recipe #352302

Don't have a paella pan? Here's a dutch oven recipe from America's Test Kitchen. The Dutch oven should be 11 to 12 inches with at least a 6-quart capacity.

    Recipe #306445

Similar to the usual blend of vegetables of Provence, that's where the similarity ends. Banana, ginger, lemongrass and cilantro take it far East. This is a recipe I found in the "All Around the World Cookbook."

    Recipe #305733

Posted for the ZWT III flight to Scandinavia. This is a great alternative to the usual poached salmon.

    Recipe #369059

Found this in the Denver Post and decided I needed to add it to my recipes so I wouldn't lose it. This comes from the Black Cat in Boulder. Makes about 1 pint.

Created by chef Hugh Acheson of Five and Ten in Athens, GA, this is a most unusual hummus recipe.

You can get these buckwheat crepes from a street vendor in France. You can add sauteed spinach, cheese and a fried egg, or just top it with the "usual" toppings - nutella, fruit preserves or cheese. From nytimes.com.
