Really nice on crackers or spread on Bruschetta! This version of my marinated fetas has become the most popular.

    Recipe #182510

Really nice on crackers or spread on Bruschetta! Updated 27/09/2006: As pointed out by NeonPrincess, light/lite olive oil is better to use. This is what I normally use and failed to document it. Thanks!!! :-)

    Recipe #182511

This was inspired from some gourmet sausages at my favourite butchers that has won many awards (Moroccan Lamb and Raisin Sausages). I also used some of the spice mix from #63885 as a base. I love the flavours!!! Then I add all of the vegetables too, a bit like a chow mein, I guess. It freezes well too and great that it's an all in one recipe.

    Recipe #199389

These are just batter coated vegies deep fried. Some call the scallops, others call them cakes...

    Recipe #182671

I originally got this recipe from the Australian Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, but I've since modified it to suit my tastes or to what is available at the time. The recipe will lend itself to all different kinds of fruit, you can also add some nuts. It is a super quick dessert that is perfect to impress your guests with.

    Recipe #200158

These are sensational. Treat your tastebuds to this very easy and healthy snack or dessert. The flavours are complementary and are really worth a try!

    Recipe #188622

Cheap and easy to bake! Omit ginger for plain oat wedges.

    Recipe #182672

After our son was diagnosed with coeliac disease at 2 and a bit years old I had to find a porridge that he could have to replace his oat porridge. In Australia our oats are contaminated and are not on the safe list (depending on what nutritional department you get advice from). I came across this one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/brown-rice-breakfast-porridge/detail.aspx I tried it and modified it a little - credit where credit is due ... it's a saviour recipe for our little Man. It's a versatile recipe and you can change all sorts of things to suit your needs and tastes. This is my modification from the original. Makes approx. 3 cups/750 ml.

    Recipe #465738

When I was a 15 year old kid, my first job was working in the only Coffee Shop in town. One of the best things they sold were these sausage rolls. Every time I make these, everyone asks for the recipe. They're so tasty! Hope you enjoy them too. I find this recipe sometimes a bit greasy, you can avoid this by reducing the quantity of Sausage Mince (100g) and increasing the Beef Mince (400g).

    Recipe #369434

This is ideal for a light lunch or snack served with a fresh, crisp summer salad. I found it in an Australian Weight Watchers magazine many years ago. (5pts ea serve) PS. I use the low fat or regular equivalent, doesn't make any difference.

    Recipe #184262

This is a nice banana bread recipe, but with the topping...well now it has the WOW factor. They're sweet, so be warned. :) This makes 2 loaves or 2 x 12 muffin pans, or one of each. If you cook one of each make sure the muffins are baked for approximately 35 minutes and the loaf is baked for approximately 50 minutes. The topping needs 15-20 minutes within those baking times mentioned. Sorry if it's confusing.

    Recipe #301328

I've never cooked with lentils before. I started out making a curried lentil salad base, refrigerated what I'd done, then decided to changed the recipe into burgers. These have a lot of flavour and a nice texture. They're quite versatile too. I was low on breadcrumbs and had no eggs. I substituted the egg with 1 tablespoon each of powdered milk, plain flour and water. I substituted the breadcrumbs with 100g packet of rice crackers processed (approx 1 cup) and processed 2 pieces of wholegrain toast. NB: I've changed the breadcrumbs measurement from 2c down to 1c based on the first reviewers comments and I've since tested the recipe again. Thanks!

    Recipe #276760

My friend moved from Australia to London then emailed me pleading to go and find her Family Circle cookbook with the New York Cheesecake recipe. I went to her Storage Unit and sorted through so much stuff for over an hour with no luck! 2 years passed and she came home for a holiday and guess where she wanted to go? To look for her recipe book. We eventually found it and when she arrived back in London, she informed me that she'd forgotten her recipe!!!! Lucky I wrote it out! So Julia, here it is Honey! Just for you!! Everyone else: It is GOOD! Try it!

    Recipe #180096

This is one of my Mum's delicacies. Dad actually taught her how to make it, but now she has taken over and handed it down :) Really has restaurant quality, exotic flavours! I hope you enjoy as much as we do :)

    Recipe #183354

This is an all time favourite! NB (Including some review suggestions - THANKS!): #1 If you prefer fresher veggies (not the stew soaked kind), leave the celery, carrots and potato until the last 1.5 hours. #2 Pumpkin and sweet potato are nice in this too. (try not to exceed the level of the liquid) #3 As a poster suggested: throw some peas and / or corn kernels in at the end to freshen the stew #4 Dumplings can be added #5 Leave out the potatoes and serve on a bed of Mash - fab idea thanks! :) #6 Making a roux to thicken is also a good idea! #7 Enjoy!!! :)
