I found this recipe in my Grandmother's 1963 Better Homes & Gardens Lunches and Brunches cookbook. It was entitled Coconut Hot Cakes with Sausage (from Kona Inn, Hawaii). I don't do the coconut or sausage part - I just use the basic pancake recipe since it is SO AMAZING! I've never had pancakes nearly as good as this recipe anywhere, so I quit trying. I never, ever order pancakes in a restaurant anymore because there's no way they can be as fluffy and tasty as this recipe. (I really love this recipe - can you tell??)

I got this recipe from one of those community cookbooks that my mother-in-law gave me. I modified it slightly to suit our personal tastes. I hadn't made it for a long time but made it this Christmas Eve to serve with cabbage rolls - it was a HUGE hit. So, I thought I would share. There are several hash brown casseroles already posted but none with bacon.

Easy, delicious appetizer that the kids love, too!! I got this recipe from Company's Coming Finger Food & just made a couple of minor adjustments.

    Recipe #276630

I found this recipe in the Toronto Star newspaper when I was just a kid & have been making it ever since. I tweaked the method ever so slightly & always use Picard Peanuts (a local grower who is widely available) Jumbo Cocktail Peanuts. I won 1st place at the County Fair with it as a Junior & an Adult. There are many other recipes here for microwave brittle but none with the exact ingredients & method of mine.

    Recipe #202103

I asked my mother-in-law for some family recipes the first Christmas my husband & I were together. I wanted to make his holiday special with treats from his childhood. This recipe is fantastic!! Unfortunately, hubby doesn't remember his Mom making it - lol!!

    Recipe #202070

I've been making this recipe for quite a while now - sometimes called Church Windows. I found several variations on Recipezaar but none exactly the way I like to make it. Besides being quite tasty, it is a pretty addition to goodie trays.

I purchased some mini-tart shells from a school fundraiser but didn't know what to do with them. But, I found this little gem in a Canadian Living Christmas Special magazine from 1982. They are really good on their own but a generous dollop of real whipped cream takes them over the top!! Very easy to make, too!

    Recipe #202058

This is a yummy, no-fuss, no-fail shortbread recipe that I have been making for Christmas for many years now. You MUST use butter in this recipe.

These bars are truly decadent! The uniqueness of this recipe is in the soda cracker base. And, the "from-scratch" lemon filling is amazing!

This is a yummy no-bake cookie for date-lovers! It takes a few minutes to make but it's well worth it. These cookies are a unique addition to your goodie trays. (Cook time is chilling time.)

I found this recipe on the Kellogg's web site. I first made them to take to a family reunion. They went over really well!

I use ground chicken in this recipe with AMAZING results. The meatballs are very tender & flavourful! For a quick weeknight meal, prepare meatballs & sauce the night before. Refrigerate overnight & turn the crock pot on in the morning.
