    I haven't actually tried this yet, but since I haven't written it neatly onto a recipe card yet either, I figured I'd post it here for safe-keeping! It sounds wonderful. (Having never tried this before, I'm guessing at the prep and cook times.)

    A great grab'n'go breakfast muffin recipe born from the happy accident of getting maple syrup on your bacon after piling your brunch plate a little too full! (And yes, I'm speaking from experience!!) I often add more bacon than the recipe calls for and you can use whatever pancake syrup you like or have on hand.

    A scrumptious way to cook and tenderize steaks at the same time. I use whatever steaks or chops I have on hand -- beef, pork, venison, you name it. Particularly good with a cheesey, sour cream and rice casserole like recipe #184275.

    For all you who, like me, love cheesecake but aren't that great at making it, this one is for us! A cake/cheesecake combination from Taste of Home with a most delicious frosting. (I recommend making this a day or two in advance, since the flavours are definitely better after the day it's made.)

    Hands down, the BEST cream pie recipe I've ever tasted! It was passed down from my mom, who got it from a neighbour while living briefly in Los Angeles way back in 1969. The chocolate variation has been the universal birthday 'cake' in my family for almost as long as I can remember. I've adapted it to be more microwave friendly and even less time-consuming than the original. (Cooking time is cooling time) In case you don't have a microwave or just want to try this on the stovetop, see my cousin CrystalB's Recipe#108268 for the method.

    This is from Taste of Home magazine and after discovering it, I've never bought Caesar dressing again. I love it that there's no quickly perishable ingredients and it's all stuff pretty much everyone has on hand at any given time.

    I believe this to be the tastiest, easiest, quickest-to-prepare chili there is!! For years I've played with chili recipies, trying to find or create the perfect one -- and now I've found it. I often do half ground pork and half ground venison instead of beef and I always use frozen corn -- either bought or home grown.

    This recipe is from my mom, who got it from my aunt. My aunt and I have unlimited access to pork because our husbands are both hog farmers and this is a great way to use up leftover ham. It's also a relatively quick meal to prepare.

    There's another recipe by the same name here, and judging by the ingredients, the end result would taste similar. This recipe is for those die-hard 'must cook from scratch' cooks! Perfect on a hot summer day after a light meal. (Cook time is freezing time.)

    You know those raspberry filled, thinly chocolate coated Viva Puff cookies you can buy? This tastes almost the same, but I haven't figured out how to add that thin layer of chocolate and still be able to cut the squares afterwards without making a mess. I'd love your ideas!     This is adapted from my favourite pork marinade recipe in the Company's Coming BBQ cookbook. It is definitely the best marinade I've tasted for pork, but one time when my in-laws were up for the weekend, I didn't have enough chops for all of us, so I added some venison chops as well. The pork turned out well -- like it usually does -- but the venison chops put them to shame! I highly recommend this for pork, but if you don't try it with deer meat, you're seriously missing out!!! (Prep time does not include turning the marinating meat periodically and because of the basting while barbequeing, cook time is not really 'passive time.')

    I used to be all about quick and easy cuisine, but since becoming a stay-at-home mom, I've branched out a little, now that I have more time. However, this recipe still gets made pretty often. The original recipe says to simmer all together in a large skillet for 45-50 minutes, but I prefer to bake it rather.

    My mom came to cook and clean for a few days after our first daughter was born and saw this recipe in my Quick Cooking magazine. My husband and I were both skeptical when we heard the ingredients, but fell in love at first bite! I've made it about once a month since then. It's incredibly quick and easy. I usually do 1 cup white rice and 1/3 cup partially cooked wild rice, but it's delicious either way. I always use Campbell's Chicken with White and Wild Rice Soup instead of the regular Chicken and Rice, but there again, either works. The Wild Rice soup has some veggies in it that add some nice colour, though.

    This is an awesome, filling soup from Taste of Home's Quick Cooking magazine a few years back. You can dress it up for company or serve it simple any time. The odd combination of ingredients is what caught my eye the first time. I've modified the original recipe to thin the soup a little and stretch it out more. Freezes well.
