This recipe comes from an old version of the Betty Crocker Cookbook that my mother got when she first married. It is wonderful addition to any chocolate cake. Enough for 2 - 8" or 9" layers or 1 - 13x9" oblong cake.

    Recipe #40760

This is the perfect topping for the Red Velvet Chocolate Cake. It adds just the right amount of sweetness and makes the cake look great with the way it pours over the top drizzling over its sides. This is the perfect complimentary icing for this cake, coming alongside it from my grandmother's kitchen.

    Recipe #40745

This cheese ball will win everyone's vote at whatever function you take it to. It's already won mine. It's easy to make and tastes delicious.

    Recipe #40747

This is the alternative form of another recipe posted on here. It is the creation of necessity. I had to make these wonderful mints that my great aunt made for my sister's wedding for my own in England. Because I couldn't find frosting sold like it is in the US, I played around to get this equally wonderful recipe. It can be made to any flavor or color. Just use your imagination and there are the candies of your dreams... melting in your mouth.

    Recipe #23631

Although I do not know where the original recipe came from, my great aunt made a slightly changed form of this for my sister's wedding. I loved it and have made them multiple times since. This is truly a wonderfully sweet candy recipe.

    Recipe #23719

Great Aunt Peg was a crazy lady, but she had some excellent recipes for the kitchen! This is one of the best recipes to come from her and will produce a moist home-made cake for the chocolate lover in everyone.

    Recipe #40759

This is a delicious and easy to make cake, a favorite of my husband's throughout his childhood. It comes from his grandmother's kitchen and hopefully will continue being passed from generation to generation. It is a bright and cheerful taste for a cold winter's day.

    Recipe #61500

Almost too pretty a cookie to eat, but they taste so good! I actually won first prize for these cookies when I was a girlscout at age 13. Although I am unsure of the origin of the recipe, I thought it was too good to keep to myself. If you're creative and are up for a challenge, this is a perfect recipe for you. (requires a clean small paintbrush)

    Recipe #61525

This is a recipe passed on through my grandmother, my mother, my sister and onto me. All of my family have enjoyed eating this cake, especially my father! It's especially great for any Fourth of July celebration.

    Recipe #40744

A wonderfully sweet coffee cake! I found this recipe sitting in my mother's box. It is from an old friend and dated 1982. Let's just say it tastes just as good today as it did back then!

    Recipe #40758

Light on texture but not on taste, this is another fantastic dessert from my grandmother. It's a wonderful addition to any summer meal.

    Recipe #61502

This is a slightly sweet bread stemming from the kitchens of a church in a backwater town in Ohio. Every year the women of the church would gather to make bread for a religious ceremony and every year the aroma of this bread would fill the church hall. You'll enjoy not only eating this bread, but making it also.

    Recipe #22546

Mom had a horrible time getting us kids to eat zucchini. This was one of the few recipes containing zucchini that we all enjoyed. It's also a good idea for those people who have an overabundance of zucchini from their gardens each year. Just mix, bake and throw on some icing!

    Recipe #61501

Delicious, rich and creamy pie from the kitchen of my grandmother. She always made the best foods. Our family enjoy this pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    Recipe #43520

This dough has been made every Christmas in my house. This recipe can be used to make not only cut-out cookies to give your family a rest from the normal sugar cookie recipe, but also has two other variations. One can roll them out and add a dab of jam or a pecan or walnut before baking, or add chopped up walnuts and roll dough in confectioner's sugar to make snow balls. They're all delicious. (Just remember to chill before baking - that's the key.)

    Recipe #23555

This recipe has won the hearts of many people all over the world. I make it wherever I go and they love it. Although it looks complicated, you will be extremely pleased with the end point. Tasty, pretty little cakes... perfect for any special moment!
