These are absolutely wonderful little morsels. They never last long. The original recipe came from an old Roswell, GA cookbook. I've seen many variations, this recipe is very forgiving and can easily be lessened or increased. They travel well sitting upright in a clean styrofoam egg carton.
This batter can be used with shrimp, chicken and a list of vegetables that is soooooooooooo long it boggles the imagination. This is a very bland batter, but your flavor comes from the many dipping sauces that are available, you can find lots of great ones here on Zaar. Enjoy!
It took me a few years to perfect this recipe, as my Gumbo expectations are very high. After suffering through many failures, this was the keeper. Hope you enjoy it. If you try it, please let me know your thoughts.
This is an oldie but goodie. Cooking times vary, depending on your grill and the size of your roast. I use my Weber Kettle mostly, but have used my gas grill also I find an instant read thermometer works best.. Plan ahead, this has to marinate 24 hours. The recipe is easily increased as the size of your roast depends on the number of guests.
A basic Chcicken Salad recipe, wonderful on it's own or go with your imagination. .
The Tea Room served this on Iceburg Lettuce leaves with tomato aspic rings rz#318144 and jumbo stuffed green olives.
The system wouldn't let me list the Tea Room's "Special Salad Dressing" in ingredients, so I just listed the components which is okay too.
