This is from the show "Christina Cooks" and while I hate to post recipes I haven't made, I didn't want to lose this one! Also, times are estimates!

    Recipe #188000

    3 Reviews |  By Dwynnie

This is a copy cat recipe that I found on cdkitchen.com and it is the best cajun seasoning I have found!

    Recipe #187842

This is somewhat based on a Paula Deen recipe, but I think it is better :-) A very easy and delicious dessert! The directions are for serving in a glass bowl, but this can be served in parfait glasses as well (of course)!

    Recipe #186342

This probably shouldn't even count as a recipe, but it is an absolutely wonderful dessert for summer dinner parties! Unique flavor combinations and no time at all to put together!

    Recipe #186336

I really need to work on better names for my recipes! This is a good one-pot dinner that I made from pantry ingredients. (Yes, I generally have goat cheese around the house!) It is a little similar to a couple of other recipes, but with slightly different seasoning. I hope that you like it!

    Recipe #186230

This was modified from a Rachel Ray recipe and was simple and easy for great taco meat when I didn't have any of the Taco Spice packets in the house! I added a can of beans as we were making burritos, but they aren't needed. Enjoy! (Note: Time does not include time to brown meat)

    Recipe #186225

This is the easiest and best (and only) sorbet I've ever made! (I'm not sure it should count as a recipe and I can't remember where I got the idea, but it's a good one!) No ice cream maker required! (Can also be done with other berries/fruits.)

    Recipe #186153

The title isn't inspired, but I swear the dish is!

    Recipe #186147

This is a recipe from Alton Brown's show Good Eats. (He is my hero!) It is modified from the original by using 1/2 tsp instead of 1 tsp of Adobo sauce and extra salt. A great side to go with a steak and a salad!

    Recipe #186141

This is a very easy soup I came up with that tastes great for a fall dinner! (I needed soup for dinner--I had just been to the dentist!) I use whole goat's milk instead of cream, but they have the same quality (and not many people have goat's milk!) Update: As a shortcut, I often use a bag of Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes and Onion instead of the potato and onion--no cutting or extra time on the onion needed!

    Recipe #186054

This is based on a recipe from the Buitoni web site, but with changes of course! You can use parmesean, but the gorgonzolla cheese is a great combination with the Caesar dressing!

    Recipe #178410

I adapted this recipe from one I found online that used blueberries, lemon yogurt, and crushed gingersnap cookies. I couldn't find lemon yogurt and I needed some cake in there! A great and easy summer dessert. Variation: If you don't like yogurt, try this with lemon pudding! Or change it up and use lemon pound cake with white chocolate pudding!

    Recipe #177640

I found the original of this recipe on About.com by Lee Custer. Very good and easy! Lee grills his steaks, but we have started smoking ours and they are great!

    Recipe #172697

This is the Thunder Cake recipe from Patricia Polacco's "Thunder Cake" picture book. It is a wonderful chocolate cake with a hint of fruit flavor from the secret ingredient! It is perfect frosted with Recipe #169403 and topped with fresh sliced strawberries! (The strawberries and tomato match wonderfully and I promise that no one will know it is tomato, they will only ask what you did to make it so wonderful!)

    Recipe #171669

Adapted from a pork tenderloin recipe from Teal Lake Lodge in Hayward, WI that was adapted from a venison recipe used by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. I really tried to go all out, as I don't get to have venison tenderloin all that often! But I think it worked, as DH and I served this to friends who don't really like venison, and even they loved it! It really tasted great!

    Recipe #171308

A good, light salad for picnics with a great, fresh flavor! Can also be used as a main dish for those hot summer days! I like to use rotelle (wheel shaped pasta) as the ingredients get stuck in the spokes!

    Recipe #171088

This is a great Cooking Light recipe--that no longer seems to be on their web site! It is super easy and super delicious! (Note: Time includes squash prep time)

    Recipe #169912

These are great plain, but also look (and taste) great with Recipe #169726! (I always save some for my mother to snack on!)

    Recipe #169729

This is the "Lady Baltimore Cake" recipe from the "New Basics Cookbook". It is one of my mother's (and MIL!) favorite cakes. It is a little bit different than the other Lady Baltimore Cake recipes on *Zaar and so I thought I would share! Also, when I really feel like impressing someone, I garnish with Recipe #169729 I posted!

This is the "Baby Brownies" recipe from the "New Basics Cookbook". My sister takes them to every potluck and they disappear! A friend of ours named them "Squares of Joy" because they are far above the usual brownie!
