Every September in India a grat festival is held to give thanks to Ganesha (the elephant god). A celebratory pudding is eaten in celebration - kheer, creamy rice pudding. Because I love coconut, I've changed to recipe & replaced the regular milk with coconut milk. Note that you can adjust thickness by using less or more milk.
This is not for everyday as it is very sweet.
From Cooks.com delicious german spice cookies. I have also made these with a dash of Anise Oil. I use a KitchenAid 6 Qt. mixer and have to switch to the bread hook, because the mixture gets very thick. These can be stored up to 1 month in an airtight container and make wonderful gifts.
After making this my husband won't eat anything else. I changed to fat free milk Kraft reduced fat Shredded Cheddar and Velveeta light. Great to make when you have to bring a dish, and the leftovers are even better especially when mixed with cooked ground beef or tuna.
This makes gnocchi sooo easy. Thank you Sandy. I married an Italian who loves this dish! I have also added parmesan cheese for something different. I freeze the gnocchi before boiling for easier handling as well as make double batches to save for later. They freeze very well.
