A very light cake perfect to have with a cup of freshly brewed coffee! This recipe is based on a recipe that my dear Mother passed on to me - the only difference between the 2 recipes is the addition of almond essence and slithered almonds.
This is a really easy way to make a good "yeasty" pizza dough! As well as using this recipe for when I'm making pizza, I also use it for when I'm making a focaccia or a calzone. (The preparation time I have given includes the time it takes to make the dough in the machine and the time it takes for the pizza dough to proof - after removing it from the bread machine, 30 minutes.)
This is soooooo yummy! Served together with a cheeseboard and an assortment of biscuits/crackers. For best results, and for MAXIMUM flavour prepare this recipe at least 24 hours in advance...it will keep for up to 4 days!!! The preparation time does NOT include the time it takes for the fruits and Port to "marinate" - (1-2 hours)
This is my favourite recipe for 'homemade' mayonaise and was passsed on to me by my Mother. It really has got the "WOW" factor - and really creamy. It is essential that the oil is added VERRRRY slowly, to ensure you get the right consistency.
Really, really morish! Very nice served with a tossed green leafy salad!, and a glass of your favourite Chardonnay! The times I have given both for the preparation and cooking of this dish are approximate only. This dish is even nicer served the next day!
These are SOOOOOOOOOOO quick and easy to make and are really lovely to have with coffee or as a very LIGHT dessert! The beauty of these are that they can be made well in advance and stored in an airtight container!
This dessert is an old favourite of many! Everyone seems to LOVE it! It really IS delicious! For some UNKNOWN reason, I seem to make it more often in the cooler months of the year than in the spring or summer! I haven't included the preparation time here mainly because I usually make the pastry case well in advance.
