I received a bottle of "Newman's Own" organic balsamic vinegar for Christmas this year. I was looking for some recipes to try it with and came across this old newspaper clipping. I made the steak last night and it was really good! (Although the recipe calls for cooking on the stove, we chose to grill ours.)
One of my husband's co-workers brought this into work. He loved it so much he asked her for the recipe -- it's a quick and easy recipe and I've made it many times to bring to family get-togethers for those with a "sweet tooth". Cooking time does not include chilling time.
A friend gave this recipe to me and said that her kids just love it! I made it and my son loved it as well. Of course, almost all dishes that taste like candy are hits with him. Preparation time does not include chilling time in refrigerator.
This is simple-to-make dish with a bright and refreshing taste. This can also be prepared using halibut, and it goes well with a steamed fresh green vegetable. Preparation time does not include marinating time.
This is such a fast and easy recipe I usually make for a brunch or a weekend breakfast treat. It tastes great, couldn't be quicker to make, and is a good way to take a boxed muffin mix and "kick it up a notch."
My son loves this treat for snacking after school, and it's easy enough for him to make if he wants to. It makes a great addition to a brunch menu, and when we make it for snacks it's gone within an hour!
Another BH&G winner. Haven't made it yet, but plan to do so next time our friends who are vegetarians come over for dinner. Prep time does not include chilling time or cooling time for wheat berry mixture.
I love surf 'n' turf, so when I found this recipe I tried it right away. We all really liked it (and I'm always looking for recipes that can be grilled outside, so I don't have to use the oven during hot Florida days). This is good served with corn on the cob, a green salad and garlic bread. Cooking time does not include marinating time. Enjoy!
This is a take on the beef and broccoli dish served in Chinese restaurants. It's very easy to make and tastes wonderful. After marinating the meat, it takes only a few minutes to get this dish on the table. (The preparation time does not include the 1 hour marinating.)
I first made this soup because I had a lot of ham left over from Easter. I wasn't that familiar with cooking with okra, but it was really delicious in this soup! We have this often during winter, and when I don't have any leftover ham I just buy a ham slice or purchased pre-diced ham pieces in the meat section.
A hearty soup that is perfect for lunch or dinner. I often make this soup for supper, accompanied by a salad and crusty bread. It's also a good recipe to use up extra chicken and the cilantro I always have left over from other recipes.
