I've used this so many times and I don't know where it came from......had to be in a cookbook somewhere in my travels!!

    Recipe #332832

I saw this recipe in the BH&G 2008 Christmas Cookie Book and it reminds me of a cookie that my cousin 'Kristy' the baker in Campbell, Ohio made for many years. As a little girl I would visit the bakery and he would give me a little bag and let me 'pick' what I wanted. The cookies in the case looked like 'jewels' because he used all different colors of sugar and they were lined up like a rainbow! Imagine doing that 50 years ago, wow, it brought back so many memories. I'm not sure if this is the same recipe, I tried for many years to get him to share the recipe with no luck, he passed years ago. His recipe had a tiny dollop of raspberry filling in an indentation in the center of the cookie.......boy would I love to have gotten that recipe!!! He also used colored non-pariels but 'Zaar would'nt allow that ingredient.

    Recipe #329870

This recipe copmes from an Amish cookbook from the great state of Ohio. It has a great flavor and makes it's own gravy that go great on mashed potatoes or stuffing. It's a simple recipe to make and my DH and DD'S love it!

    Recipe #326745

This is a recipe that I've made for Christmas, weddings, parties, etc. It uses store bought cake and my clothespin cookie filling as the frosting. They are yummy!

    Recipe #341683

This is an awesome recipe.....it can be used in a variety of ways. I use it at the center of a large antipasto tray surrounded by veggies, cheeses and a variety of italian meats. It is delicious and looks so beautiful. It can serve as a light meal in some instances or just as an appetizer tray before a dinner party. It's pretty impressive to say the least.

    Recipe #326316

Found this in a church cookbook, haven't tried it yet so I am posting it for safe-keeping. As soon as the fall weather arrives in Myrtle Beach I will be trying this! I love squash and this sounds yummy.

    Recipe #326312

The best apple pies always have a cheddar cheese crust and this is no exception. I found this in an old cookbook years ago, can't remember the name, but it's a great piece of pie!

    Recipe #323544

    Recipe #341649

My Godmother makes the 'absolute best' chicken paprikash in the world. The reason....she adds veggies to the chicken while she's stewing it! The sour cream gravy actually tastes like something when you're eating it. It's not just onions, paprika and sour cream. Hope you like it, we sure do! We've enjoyed this recipe for 50 years!!! Comfort food at its best!!!! YYYUUUMMM!!!!!

    Recipe #350242

My Mom made this years ago just about every Sunday for our family dinner dessert.. We lost the recipe and I was lucky to find it again stuffed in her recipe box. Mom is 83 now and doesn't bake much, it's easier for her to visit a bakery!!

    Recipe #323534

This is my mother's recipe, it is remarkable in that it 'never' gets stale. It doesn't last long enough in our house but she states that it keeps for weeks. The 'secret' is the cream cheese in the recipe. This cake can be varied in numerous ways, from adding cherries to nuts to chocolate chips to coconut. Let your imagination be your guide!!

    Recipe #323525

I found this recipe in my file box.....not sure where it came from. When I worked many years ago as an RN, on midnight shift I would look through magazines during 'down' time. I believe this one came from one of those books!!!

    Recipe #328547

Saw this in a recipe book and am posting for safekeeping. I thought it looked interesting and since I do cake decorating I'm always looking at frosting recipes.

    Recipe #326443

A farmer friend of ours taught me the way to freeze sweet corn and enjoy it like it was just picked in the middle of the winter. It's very simple and all you need is freezer room, ziploc bags and water!!!!!! He would drop off a large sack of corn to us when it was in season and we would have it all winter. I have tried freezing corn every which way and it always tastes 'soggy'. This way keeps the corn incredibly crisp!!! Enjoy!!

    Recipe #315849

This recipe comes from the 'Dr. Fishbone Recipe Book' and is a collection of favorites from the Carolina's. I am placing it here for safe-keeping, it looks simple enough to be a tasty, easy soup to prepare.

    Recipe #330034

This recipe comes from either Bon Appetit or Gourmet magazine. I've had it so long I can't remember!! It makes a pretty presentation for a dinner party or it's just plain delicious at your family supper table.

    Recipe #328509

I believe that this recipe came from the 'Taste of the South Magazine'. It looks and tastes wonderful. It is made the 'old-fashioned way' with unflavored gelatin not Jell-O.

    Recipe #330063

This comes from a friend and is a favorite of ours. The boursin cheese makes this yummy!

    Recipe #365742

Found this in the new BH&G Christmas Cookie Book..posting it for later use. Sounds and looks like something I might like on my Christmas cookie tray for the holidays.

    Recipe #329862
