Some of the best elements of other Shakshuka recipes in one place. Shortcuts abound.

    Recipe #514539

The upside of juicing carrots is all that wonderfully healthy juice; the down side is all the pulp that usually goes to waste. It was chilly here today and I wanted a nice warm soup. This is the result of that experiment. My picky husband really liked it. I hope you will too!

    Recipe #508908

It was a classic case of too much month left at the end of my money and I was in a pinch for what to serve for dinner. These are all things we had on hand and the assembly was super quick (I like that!) and the family loved it (I like that even better!) If you've not sprouted lentils before, it couldn't be easier, but it does take a 2-3 day lead time. See Sharon123's recipe #204489 for instructions and tips. Thanks again Sharon for the inspiration to sprout!

Found this on RawFoodHealthShow.com with Paul and Andrea Nison. Served it to a bunch of omnivores and they loved it! The vegetarians were THRILLED! I'm sharing here so I don't lose track of it. It was too good to not do again! The four hours 'cooking' time is the time in the freezer and refrigerator to set up the "cake".

While busy choking, gasping and wheezing with a bad cold, a friend asked, "Have you tried onion syrup?" I had never heard of it, so she sent me some internet links and lo and behold, "everyone" has heard of it but me!! Here is my simplified version. Cook time is "setting" time for the syrup, but you should be able to get a spoonful in about 2 hours if needed.

    Recipe #374232

Spring-boarded from others on Zaar ... a tweak here and there and voila! Prep time is measuring ingredients and loading into bread machine. Cook time is proofing/resting/ baking time.

A dear friend loaned me a copy of "Miriam's Kitchen" in which the author describes her MIL's cooking. One dish that fascinated me was Egg Salad with fried onions, since all the egg salads I had ever had had raw onions. One taste and I was hooked. Over time I added a few things. I hope you enjoy this yummy comfort food!

An incredibly tasty pasta dish with a bit of a kick from Food & Wine. (I'd have this every week if I could!)

Super easy method, lucious fresh fish and lightning-fast clean-up elevate this simple dish to divine. My husband's favorite erev Shabbat meal.

If you're allergic to potatoes (or just don't like them) here is a colorful and tasty rendition for Hanukkah time or anytime throughout the year. Finish with the traditional sour cream if you like. Serve hot as either a main dish or side tonight ... stuff one into a pita for a quick lunch tomorrow.

Don't wrinkle your nose at this one! The lemon and Tabasco sauce really brighten the flavor! It can be made with any combination of fish. Add potatoes for a heartier soup.

The idea for this recipe came from the booklet for my bread machine. With various tweakings it became "my" claim to bread making fame. Although I make a 6-braid challah from the dough, it could just as easily be baked off as sandwich bread.

    Recipe #166356

Easy to make, flavorful and healthy ingredients make a great lunch or dinner.

Found this on "This Rawsome Vegan Life" and drooled all over my keyboard. Here for safekeeping ... and happy eating!

After weeks of traveling to a specialty store 40 miles away to buy their "Spicy Peanut Dressing" I finally figured out that if I could buy it, I could build it! So, with some tweaking (I felt like a chemist at times!) here is what I believe is a winner! Adjust the heat by adjusting the sriracha.

    Recipe #506234

Forever on the lookout for healthy treats that conform to our 'raw foods' lifestyle, these little brownie bites are a decadent treat! Yum!

    Recipe #505948

For the health of it, DH and I are trying to incorporate more vegan and raw foods into our diet. My good friend and her husband are on a similar path. Lately, she's been telling me tales of smothering everything with this vegan cheese sauce -- crackers, veggies, chips, pasta -- you name it. So, it is here for safekeeping. Can't wait to get started!

    Recipe #505721

Since I've started eating more raw foods, I really enjoy the fact that I can have dessert for breakfast and it's a healthy thing! Although there is no cooking time for this, there is a 4 hour "set up in the refrigerator" time, so that the chia seeds plump up and get like tapioca.

    Recipe #502763

Getting further and further into raw foods. I found this recipe online and it's here for safekeeping. Looks great.

A great change of pace from tomato salsa! I've had this Tropical Fruit Salsa rolled in a romaine leaf for a quick lunch; served over black bean burgers to guests who were not vegetarian and they sang its praises. Super with chips as well. I hope you enjoy!
