I have served this appetizer many times to rave reviews! (one time I never made it out of the kitchen at a party--it was eaten by the kitchen "crew"!) Can be served warm or cold.
A family favorite! I often make it to freeze in portions for my family to take to work (reheats easily in a microwave). I generally make this as low-fat as possible using skim milk, low-fat cheeses, tortillas & soups.
This is a great main-dish salad! J.L.Hudson's in Detroit serves it as a signature dish and this is much like their recipe. (Or use the dressing on another salad if you wish) Enjoy!
This is in response to a posting on tonkatsu (pork cutlets). This recipe is from "Japanese Family-Style Recipes" by Hiroko Urakami. This is Japanese fast food!
This is the ultimate comfort food! It is a breakfast dish in most countries in Asia. I always make it when I have a turkey or chicken carcass. My family loves it!
From the cookbook "Fairlands Favorites"--this is an interesting and different pasta salad. Good for potlucks. Allow time for marinating--preferably overnight.
This was posted in response to a request re: coconuts. It is not especially "Heart Smart" so I would categorize it as a special dish for an occasional treat.
Bet you can't eat just one! All ingredients are usually kept on hand so this is easy and quick to make. Try substituting other flavorings for a completely different taste. YUM!
This is an often-requested recipe around here. I make it in quantity for my kids' team dinners and never have any left!
A Japanese sauce used for dipping with shabu-shabu. (From Japanese Food--About.com)
This cornbread remains moist and is so good! We really enjoy it with soups or chili.
I always make a double recipe as these are popular around our house!
