From Phuket Thai Restaurant, in Hawai'i.

    Recipe #281661

Sharing is caring, and although it took a lot from me to decide to share this one, I will. This is my number one choice for a caramel apple martini. I often get it at Joey's restaurants here in the Northwest, but with the help of a friend, was able to find the recipe via a Canadian newspaper (which is where the chain started). One thing that's nice is that you don't need a a high tolerance to be able to enjoy a few of these right in a row! Play around with the ingredients, because it should taste like a green apple sucker with a butterscotch center.

    Recipe #280504

This is the must-try mushroom soup that you can find at Joey's Restaurants up here in the Northwest. It's my all-time favorite mushroom soup, and I think that is because of the sherry that is added. When I saw a note in their menu that this recipe was featured in a magazine a couple of years ago, I had to find it. Enjoy!

    Recipe #279963

This French-feeling comfort food is so quick and easy to prepare, but yet will be filling enough that one might think it took longer than it did to create :) From Nigella Express. (which by the way, on the show she prepare gnocchi on the side which should take only a couple of minutes to boil--later, you can toss them with the remainder of the sauce)

    Recipe #275379

Super easy and quick way to prepare calamari. This is from Nigella Express.

    Recipe #275378

From Ingrid Hoffman's Simply Delicioso. I love her "Chica Tip", which is this: If your shrimp is making a 'C' shape, then it's cooked. If it's an 'O' shape, then it's overdone.

    Recipe #275054

A sweet potato dish that has some extra sweetness added.

    Recipe #265571

Sweet potato dish from USA Today.

    Recipe #265553

    4 ingredient Fijian-style cake!

    Recipe #262698

A popular Fijian fish dish (pronounced ko-konda), similar to Tahiti's poisson cru.

    Recipe #262556

I wouldn't mind adding a side of eggplant to every last dish that I eat while on earth. I found this one on another recipe site.

    Recipe #257308

The ingredient list may be lengthy, but this dish is very tasty and easy to prepare. From Pleasures of the Vietnamese Table by Mai Pham.

    Recipe #255892

This uses shirataki--a noodle-shaped tofu, which is low in carbs and is made out of yam flour. It's a great substitute for those who are trying to do the low-carb thing, because it can be used for soup, sukiyaki, pasta, etc. Featured on the HonoluluAdvertiser.

    Recipe #255891

A fun and slightly more sophisticated way to bring back the good 'ol jello shot. These remind me of the lychee cups that you can buy by the barrel, only with a kick! From Simply Delicioso.

    Recipe #255717

I'm always looking for a new way to use guava paste, as I seem to always have a good lot of it around. This is a nice twist on the typical old salmon dish--in that it offers a slightly sweeter taste than I am used to. From Simply Delicioso.

    Recipe #255500

This is an Ethiopian cheese course, which usually eaten after dinner (instead of dessert). My brother is a huge fan of Ethiopian food, and I had to find this to finish off the meal. From yumsugar.

    Recipe #255003

This was touted as a great drink for a book club meeting. I can't think of a better way to discuss a new read! From yumsugar.
