This recipe comes from the Kraft Food and Family magazine. I wanted to keep this recipe on hand when fresh strawberries were in season. The Kool-Aid Cherry Flavor Single Drink Mix is a nice touch to this smoothie. It taste alot more like a cherry smoothie than strawberry to me. I also needed to add alittle water and ice to the blender to make it like a slushy.
This makes 1 serving
I have been popping popcorn for many years using oil and butter. This method is less fattening and better for you. If you want to add butter, salt or other seasonings, you can after popping. This recipe I got from looking up "How to Make Popcorn" Microwave timing will vary with different microwaves. Mine takes 3 minutes. Just experiment like I did when popping in paper bag. Also this only makes enough for 1 serving.
I love bleu cheese dressing. I had visited the Spaghetti Factory in Nashville Tenn. several years ago and I had the best bleu cheese dressing that I ever ate. I have searched and searched for that special taste again in dressings. I finally found one that really comes very close. The recipe came from a friend but I changed a few ingredients to fit my taste.
This recipe comes from my sister-n-law who got the recipe out of one of her Paula Deen cookbook books. We had it over New Years at their New Years Eve party. I just had to have the recipe. She served the spread with Stacy's Pita Chips.
This is a great gift for the holidays or just to have sitting around for a snack when your wanting something alittle salty and sweet. You can add more ingredients to this to suit your taste or you can take out what you don't like.
I love watching Paula Deen and I love her new show Paula's Party. One day she made snow cream and I love snow cream and only have thought you just make that out of fresh snow but she used shaved ice and sweetned condensed milk and vanilla and I thought.... WOW! I bet that is good.:) So I thought I would share her recipe.
Friend of mine let me look through one of her Weight Watchers cookbook and I found this recipe and tried it and its so good that I wanted to save the recipe and share it with everyone. DH and I love it! Had it with a grilled chicken breast and salad. :)
I did change the vinegar to what I had on hand. Original calls for rice-wine vinegar.
This is 1 point per serving.
This corn dip has been a really big hit for me. Its easy to make and everyone will ask you for the recipe when you take it to parties or have one of you own. I can't ever escape a party without someone stopping me and asking how to make that "awesome" corn dish. Great for a Picnic too!!
I was searching around for Christmas ideas and came across this one from organize Christmas site. Thought I would share it with you.
You'll need quart size jar and a snack size food baggie and a large enough tag to write instructions on.
This makes 1 jar gift
This recipe is simple to make. I have made shrimp this way for years. It's kinda like having a shrimp cocktail. Shrimp is best when chilled. Great for parties, with meals as a appetizer or just alone.
NOTE: Use seasonings to your taste. I usually add 1 packet of Splenda (or of choice) to the cocktail sauce instead of regular sugar.
