My Dad insists on Snickerdoodles every year for Father's Day, his birthday, the holidays- any excuse he can think of to get me to make these!! My hubby and kids don't mind them either!! I make my version of this Betty Crocker recipe.:) Great for gifting friends too! I don't use self-rising flour ever on these, but included the info in case someone did in the ingredients. I DO add extra flour when needed if the consistency of the cookies aren't what I want- more flour makes them "fluffier". Adjust accordingly each time you make based on your personal taste!

    Recipe #195899

A great holiday favorite- I got this from an old Betty Crocker cookbook and make it along with my Recipe #195728 and Recipe #195714 in mini loaves for the holidays! I generally get 6 mini loaves from this recipe and they bake for 33 minutes for me without any changes to the recipe. Easy, fun, crowd pleasing recipes! Enjoy!

    Recipe #195730

Another holiday favorite- I got this from an old Betty Crocker cookbook and make it along with my Recipe #195730 and Recipe #195714 in mini loaves for the holidays! Easy, fun, crowd pleasing recipes! Enjoy!!

    Recipe #195728

I have been making this recipe I found in Betty Crocker and modified to my liking for 20 years or so. My family loves it - and even a few of my husband's co-workers look forward to it at the holidays now! I like to make mini loaves of this (half with nuts and half without), my Recipe #195730 and Recipe #195728 and make little "gift trays" for the holidays. ;)

    Recipe #195714

Another yummy recipe from Rachel Ray Show. This one is for dinner tonight. Picture to follow. ;) Looks Yummy though. I would use a 3 cheese blend - parm, asagio and romano myself as that is my fav. I will also use 1-2 8oz packages of Rising Moon Garlic and Basil frozen Gnocchi (depending on your preference)in place of the fresh since I could not locate fresh in the refrigerated grocery aisle here locally. May be only seasonally in my area. ;)

    Recipe #195613

Another from the Rachel Ray show site - apparently one of OPRAH's favs!! Sounds great, doesn't it ladies?? ***Just an update -this has been a hit the three times I have served it now with ladies and men a like! A festive, fun alternative for a holiday gathering - not too sweet unless you want it to be - it all depends on the champagne you choose! Looking forward to Christmas and New Years with this one!!(***ZWT3 - Kirsh and CHampagne - FRENCH)

    Recipe #195596

I go this recipe from the Rachel Ray show and I make it with Simple Couscous. My family absolutely loved it - even my 14 year old daughter cleaned her plate. I count that a success anytime! It is a nice change to the everyday - and is easy to make!! I did modify the sauce a bit as I like the sauce a bit thicker and used bing cherries in syrup as i couldn't find the ones she called for. Turned out great and looked the same.

    Recipe #195552

I got this recipe from the Rachel Ray Show. I make it with Recipe #195552 - a great combination that my family loved - my almost 14 year old daughter actually ate everything on her plate!! ;) Love or hate RR, Don't knock it till you try it.

    Recipe #195545

This is an easy work night dinner that our whole family loves! I just add a bit more soy and veggies than the packet calls for, but this mix is great! Easy to make anywhere too- on the spot for a quick dish to take or even out camping (Nice alternative to hot dogs every night)!

    Recipe #194746

This is a family favorite that I learned from my Mom. It has been passed down and I am sure it has changed over the years, but everyone that has it loves it. I use it anytime I need a nice side dish in a pinch!! The left overs reheat nicely and never stick around more than a day or so! I tend to cook by sight, so I did my best to approximate the measurements. I like to make this with fried chicken, grilled salmon, pork roast, etc with a fresh salad or veggie. It really is a versatile dish that leaves you free to tend to your main dish or dessert prep!!
