This tastes fabulous! Uses a mix of turkey sausage & ground beef, and plain old regular style lasagna noodles that you do not have to pre-boil. Just follow the directions as it will take more liquid and cooking time. Choose your favorite sauce, and throw in green peppers while cooking the meat if you like them. Yes the cooking time is longer, but wouldn't you rather let it cook by itself while you do something else, rather than have to boil those noodles, then try to dry them, etc? Yeah, me too! Enjoy!

This salsa is like baby bear's porridge: just right! For me that is, and hopefully for you too. It has just the right amount of heat, with the secret ingredient being liquid smoke, which adds a layer of slight smokiness. It should be allowed to sit, preferably overnight. The flavors develop after being mixed together, so when you taste while making it, realize that you will be able to taste more of the heat after giving it some time.

I just love this healthy version from "This makeover of a Midwestern classic tops layers of lettuce, peas, bell pepper and tomatoes with a creamy, tangy dressing. The salad stays fresh underneath until it's served and gets even better when held overnight." Vegetarians can omit the bacon.

Pecan pie as it's meant to be. Tried and true. 1 Tablespoon of bourbon really takes it over the top, but it is still fabulous without it if you would rather not use this ingredient.

This is amazingly good and super easy. If you want to leave the house for the afternoon to come back and have dinner ready to serve, this is the one to try. Bring home a bag of salad and you are set. Real cheese in here, no velveeta. I also use low sodium everything and don't add extra salt. The spiciness makes additional salt unnecessary. Also, if you don't uncover it the last 30 minutes, don't worry about it. It's still just as good. Also good with flour tortillas if you don't have corn on hand.

    Recipe #441493

A twist on the "Arnold Palmer"...Iced tea with cranberry juice on the bottom and lemonade on the top. Tart and sweet!

    Recipe #441439

A muffin disguised as a cookie? Yes, this is a cookie that tastes just like a Banana Chocolate Chip muffin. These started out as mainly peanut butter cookies, but honestly I can't taste the peanut butter. So if you are looking for the strong flavor of peanut butter, this is probably not your recipe. But they do taste wonderful and this is a pretty healthy cookie too. Since I am on a very low sodium diet, I am trying to be creative.

Not remotely like the grocery store boxed version! I made the mistake of assuming this and missed out, until now! This is my Nana's recipe. A few tips to get the best results: coarsely chop the crystallized ginger, don't cut tiny pieces. I don't know why, that just what she said to do. Also, make sure you make only 1" balls, don't make them bigger unless you give them more space to spread. Otherwise they'll overlap edges and not be perfectly round ('course they will still taste great!). Final tip - don't overcook - yank them out as soon as the 8 minutes are up. With my oven, I have to keep the cooking time to 8 minutes even though the recipe says 8-10min. You may have to play with the time, but even < minute will make a difference. If you do it right, they will harden but still have a soft center.

I didn't have a recipe and just threw together a few items I had on hand to to make this quick soup. I used leftover butternut squash from the night before and a can of tomato soup. Tasted pretty good, especially with a grilled cheese sandwich! I'll try to get the amounts right so it can be replicated.

I took a basic black bean/corn salad recipe and tweaked it to my taste. I hope you'll like it too. My teenagers even loved it and they normally won't touch anything with beans in it. We used it as a salsa with chips and also as a side to our meal of chicken soft tacos. This has a slightly sweet spicy taste. I used a can of mild tomatoes/peppers but if you like heat, then you will probably want to spice it up a bit more. Enjoy!

    Recipe #302368

This is a great treat if you like chocolate and raspberries. Easy to make but elegant.

    Recipe #286888

I adapted this from a recipe called "inside out chicken cordon bleu". I bought a small jar of pesto & sundried tomato sauce, which is a thick condiment, very tasty and strong flavored. This dish is great with some crusty Italian garlic bread and a salad.
