I had the pleasure of discovering this great Italian ice cream at a restaurant in Chicago, called the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, yummmmmmy! Well, since I don't live there and can't live without this delicious dessert, I created this one. This tortoni is so decadently smooth and creamy and the DiSaronno takes it to another level! My gourmet adult daughter says it's the best thing she has ever eaten!
I couldn't find a Jalapeno Jelly recipe that used Truvia natural sweetener, so I created one and had great success. The jelly set up perfectly and the flavor is amazing! It's sweet and spicy! The 3 cups of Truvia (0 calories) replaces 8 cups of sugar (6,144 calories). You can choose to use only jalapenos for a spicier jelly or add a couple bell peppers, color of your choosing to soften the spiciness.
We really enjoy having cheese balls on hand during the holiday season. I created this cheese ball recipe for our new year eve party and was a huge hit. The addition of Knorr Vegetable Soup mix added a nice flavor. I also used this cheese ball as a filling for jalapeno poppers... another great idea.
This is such an easy cookie that is not as sweet as alot of cookies. Use any brand ready pie crust or your own recipe. Cute shape of a rolled up crescent roll but with a great chocolate almond filling. Fun addition to your cookie platters.
