An African recipe with fantastic spices, occasional crunches of cardamon, the fresh taste of the coriander, totally delicious. I was looking for something different to do with the standard beef or lamb mince recipes, and this was a winner at home. Even my friend's fussy kids had a go and pronounced it excellent! My suggestion- double the recipe and freeze it for another night.
If you love mushrooms, scroll no further. I should just leave it at that shouldn't I? But I can't, this mushroom recipe is fantastic and just writing about it, well I'm hungry and now need to eat this for dinner.
Chicken with cinnamon and lemon, spicy and delicious. Note: I've put za'atar spice mix, because it wouldn't accept Morroccan and this was the closest, if you can buy it we have Morroccan spice blend here in Aus.
This is a variation on the classic salmon patty. I know there are a lot of recipes out there for these but this is worth a try, the lime mayonnaise may really be the thing that sets them apart. These are also great in a sandwich with the mayonnaise to keep it from being too dry. (from Fast Food, my fave cookbook)
Slice..when you want something that everyone can share equally, that's make and take, that says, "I've put the effort in but I've not gone overboard", make a slice. Morning tea or afternoon tea, after dinner, slice, it's got it all. Try this one, I love maple syrup and caramel so this is a match made in heaven... and it's a slice. Hooray!
Warm, rich and completely delicious, we're addicted to this soup recipe. It's from the famous SoupWorks chefs and nothing I've made of theirs even goes wrong, they're completely creative and I just keep coming back for more. It sounds unusual with the cheese in a soup but it works magically.
I love this recipe so much I lost the cookbook and rebought it just for this. The cumin seeds and kumara really are a fantastic addition to a nachos. You could probably cut back a bit on the cheese for a lower-fat version. For a non-vegetarian version, add 1 cup chopped cooked chicken. I can't thank Womens Weekly enough for their recipes.
This is a slice that my guests kept sneaking back for, it is absolutely delicious. It's got macadamis, toasted which are FAB, caramel and and chocolate and...OK, it's not low fat but it's so rich that you don't need to eat a lot to feel satisfied. That's dieting too right? I couldn't find un-iced chocolate biscuits and substituted successfully with honey flavoured Tiny Teddies.
This is a relatively simple vegetarian lasagna that has a sweet taste, and has a fabulous flavour. It's a great dish, totally delicious and even kids who are a little unsure of vegetables are won over by this.
