I got this recipe from Mollie Katzen's Sunlight Cafe. I changed it just a little bit, because it calls for pecans, and my boyfriend can't eat them. This is wonderful for breakfast with cream cheese spread on it! High protein, low sugar, very nutritious!

I found this recipe in Mangoes and Curry Leaves: Culinary Travels Through the Great Subcontinent. I tweaked the ingredients a bit for what I had in the house!

My favorite lazy weekday meal to cook. It's quick, it's easy, it's tasty...

    Recipe #178134

I made these up on the spur of the moment when a friend gave me grape leaves from her garden. They turned out really good!

It should really use bavarian cream, or a good custard, but sometimes it's just too hot to use the stove!

The first thing I learned about Japanese cooking is that all the sauces were some combination of shoyu, rice vinegar, sugar, and mirin. This is a quick and easy meal that I made up. Shoyu is a Japanese soy sauce. It gives a much richer flavor than regular soy sauce, and tastes less salty. Mirin is Japanese cooking wine, made of rice wine. If you can't find any, just omit it, it will still taste wonderful.

I use this gravy often as a base for my quick beef stew. It's also great just as a gravy :) The barley malt balances out the salt and gives a very rich flavor to the gravy. I wondered why all canned gravy added sugar, so I threw in some malt one day and decided it improved my gravy incredibly.

I found a gyro recipe and completely tweaked it to be more to my taste, and it turned out great! TammieV's Gyro Sauce is great on it! Recipe #57747

I finally figured out how to make a decent taco meat without any packets, because I can't stand resorting to packets! I think I got the idea from my sister, because she has a very firm belief that there should be chocolate in everything. Correction to cocoa amount: now that I have more experience in guesstimating what I put into my recipes, I am adjusting this :)
