This is my mothers recipe that she got when she took a holiday cooking class. I gave these as gifts for Christmas and also valentines day, they are very well received. You can use any shaped cookie cutter to make for different occasions.
With ginger, cardamom and pepper, this spiced chocolate mix is reminiscent of chai tea. Use it alone or to make a rich coffee drink, with or without spirits, or an exquisite fondue to serve with crisp plain cookies, fresh fruit or firm pieces of pound cake.

This came to me from one of my mother's coworkers
I omitted the pecans and used mini chocolate chips and they were very yummy. You could use any type of nut, chocolate or combination of the two. These are wonderful and look pretty on cookie trays.
