This is the actual Macaroni Grill recipe for Carmela's Chicken Rigatoni. At home, I use a combination of olive oil (2 T) and butter (4T) instead of butter flavored oil (less overall as well). In addition, I use Kittencal's recipe for caramelized onions http://www.food.com/recipe/kittencals-caramelized-onions-89007.
After trying some of the refried beans recipes from this site, I will never again eat them from a can. However, the recipes I enjoyed were time consuming. This recipe is a marriage between scrumptious home made and easy (like canned).
We had a nonalcoholic "bar" at our corporate summer picnic this year, and this was one of the most requested drinks. People came back for seconds, thirds, fourths.... Some might like more mint than the recipe calls for and some might like less. Quick and easy, I blend it up right before dinner and it is really refreshing! (Add 2 oz. of Vodka or Rum and it is a fabulous cocktail as well!)
I have never tried a dish at East Side Mario's that I did not enjoy. Found this one out surfing the net and tried it. It was a nice alternative to a traditional Chicken Parmesan, and the sauce would also taste lovely over grilled chicken. *If you would like to spice this up a bit, add the optional crushed red pepper. *(Spicey option added based on Sam#3's review July 2008)
A friend of mine has been purchasing steel cut oats in bulk from the Amish in our area and sharing! Since I didn't know how to prepare them, I found a similar recipe online and adapted it to my taste.
*Note-you can use 4 cups of water and omit the milk. The milk makes it creamier.
This is easy and yummy! I found this recipe on the side of a brownie box and loved it! I accidently threw it out with the brownie box, and spent months searching the grocery store shelves for it! I finally found it and figured I would add it for safe keeping!
Buca di Beppo, Chef Richard Graham
I tried this for the first time tonight at Buca, and went on a search for the recipe. It is spectacular. I found this on another website, and am posting to compare to the original sometime soon.
Organic spelt flour does not change the flavor of the pancake as much as whole wheat, but offers the benefit of additional fiber. With all the processed foods being offered to my kids daily, I thought it might be helpful to get something healthy into their diet as often as possible. No complaint from the kids here!
