    Not an actual recipe.

    Recipe #199335

Every time I make this I'm asked for the recipe. It's really a "get your socks knocked off" dish. NO LIE! Cooking time does not include marinating.

A good friend passed this recipe to me back in the early 80's. I was so impressed with the flavor and texture that I had to have the recipe. It taste and looks like whipped cream. "Give it a try and see if I lie." Please follow the directions...and it is regular granulated sugar...not powdered...=)

This is a recipe that I used to make all the time when DH and I had Kids at home and money was a big issue. It is off a recipe card from Betty Crocker back in 1971. It's from the "Best before payday dinner" card. I used it alot and still make it once in a while because it is so good. I should put it in my "Money is tight now that I'm retired cookbook". (For future use) Based on Chef Tweaker's review I have moved some of the steps for ease in preparing this dish.

This is a recipe I got from a dear friend while she was on the Atkins diet. I just fell in love with the flavor. I now make them as an appetizer for Thanksgiving every year. I never make the old mayo mixture anymore. I hope you enjoy!

I have been making these yams for our family Thanksgiving dinner for years. Whenever someone tries this dish for the first time they always ask for the recipe. It travels well for those potluck dinners too. Hope you enjoy!

This is my daughters favorite recipe for leftover turkey. I love it too! Don't let the long list of ingredients scare you. It seems time consuming but it does go together quickly once you have everything ready. I got it out of an old cookbook magazine called Fresh Turkey Ideas. We really look forward to Thanksgiving just to have this as our traditional left over. Hope you enjoy!

I have been fixing this for years. It came out of a Kingsford Barbecue book back in 1988. Tells you a little on how old I am. LOL. I no longer use the briquets. This works well on the gas grill also. Just throw on the grill and forget about it. Hope you enjoy them.

I got this recipe back in 1989 out of a Betty Crocker cookbook called "Make it Light" It's a quick and easy dish to prepare (using boneless chicken) and has a nice kick to it. I have made it even lighter and quicker by using skinless chicken breast with out bones. Cooks up in half the time. This is a great dish to make after a hard day at work.

This has been my most favorite rib recipe for the longest time. My DS and DD have always requested this dish when they come home during the summer.(BBQ time!!) I hope you will enjoy this dish. It is from a cook book called "HOT & SPICY" by Better Homes Gardens that I picked up at the store. I have a couple of excellent recipes out of this book. ENJOY!!! Cooking time includes chill time.

I made a german dish years ago. The only thing I really thought was outstanding was the gravy. I had to change a few ingredients to make it work. I think most of the flavor was coming from the meat mixture and the long cooking time. This is the end result. Please try it, you won't be disappointed. It has a nice strong, smooth flavor.

This is an old recipe that I have had since the 70's. It is off one of those mail order recipe cards. (before the internet). You can cook the bacon in a microwave oven. (this wasn't around either). Because it is served cold it makes a great summer side dish. Enjoy!

My DH has to have this whenever I make his German Hamburger Patties. It is a recipe that his Mother and Oma always made. It is on the bland side but he likes to eat it with some ketchup.

I found this recipe about 25 years ago in a consumer report magazine. They were trying to find the best can chili recipe. They came up with their own and this is it. I have made this for years. It is really good. If you like it hot like I do. Add cayenne pepper or tabasco sauce.

This is one of those true German recipes. My dear MIL is a "true" German. Trying to get measurements from her is like pulling teeth. I have made this for DH for 34 years now. I still throw it together without measuring so today while preparing it I tried to eyeball the amounts. Hope it works for you and that it is enjoyed. There is no sugar included like most potato salads. DH does like mayo on the side.
