Embarrassed by continuing the age-old practice of opening both ends of a can and extruding cranberry jelly to slice up and serve to family and guests? Well, try this and your days of shame will be over. My wife has been making this recipe for as long as I can remember, and it never fails to get rave reviews--even from people who think they hate cranberry.

    Recipe #519704

This recipe never fails to get rave reviews when I make it for family, friends, or pot-lucks at work. It's easy to make and you won't believe how good it tastes. I use Jimmy Dean brand bulk sausage (hot) but any good pork sausage will work. I use canned broth if I'm not cooking a turkey. If cooking a turkey I substitute turkey drippings ounce for ounce with the canned broth. Enjoy.

    Recipe #519626

This is my family's favorite burger. I got the idea from my local HEB meat department. Rather than pay through the nose, I decided to make my own.

    Recipe #518209

I grew up loving grilled cheese sandwiches. Later I started adding ham. Here is my current, kicked-up a notch version. Definitely not your momma's grilled cheese.

    Recipe #518204

Best carrot cake ever. Very moist. I always get rave reviews.

    Recipe #504043

Tired of the same old rib recipes--try these. The ingredients are, as the name implies Asian, but can be found in most large stores or at any Asian grocery store.

    Recipe #167783

These ribs are loaded with flavor. Slow cooking with low heat is key. The ribs will be very tender and juicy, and the layered apple flavors make for a very fine eating experience. Prep time does not include an overnight stay in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #164974

These are the best baked beans--very tasty. Very easy to make as well--can be made on the stove top, in the oven, or in a crock pot. I never fail to get rave reviews at pot lucks and family outings.

    Recipe #164343

Nothing goes better with fried chicken than red beans and rice. This is a remarkably good, yet easy recipe.

    Recipe #164258

This is a great chicken dish. It's easy enough for every day, yet fancy enough for guests. The puffy pudding-like topping and chicken gravy make for a satisfying comfort-food dish. This is also a great way to use up left over fried chicken.

    Recipe #163607

This fruit salad has a bit of a temperature so watch out. The combining of sweet and sour, spicy and mild, cooked and raw makes this a truly unique taste fest--enjoy!

    Recipe #161407

Jerked goat and chayote squash served over rice cooked in coconut milk. There is no shortage of flavor in this dish.

    Recipe #161405

While stationed in Germany, there was a little Italian Ice Cream Shop we loved to go to that served spaghetti ice. Basically it's vanilla ice cream, extruded through a press to resemble pasta noodles, topped with strawberry sauce (the spaghetti sauce), and sprinkled with a little coconut (the parmesan cheese). To make this, you need a ricer--a two handled press to extrude the ice-cream through. There is something about that process that makes the ice cream taste different--sort of like what Diary Queen does to their soft-serve ice cream. Serve this to guest after a nice Italian dinner--they will be so impressed.

    Recipe #160121

This is a great rub for any cut of beef, but I like it best on rib eys.

    Recipe #159902

Next time you've got the smoker or grill with a cover fired up, try these. You won't believe how good they are. Use your imagination on the seasoning, type of wood, choice of nuts, etc.

    Recipe #159763

This is the Caribbean meets south Texas. One of our favorite dishes is barbacoa (shredded beef) served on corn tortillas with salsa. We eat it for breakfast (really, it's true). Well here is our Tex-Mex Sunday morning special--Jamaica style.

    Recipe #159476

Smoked another brisket last weekend using this recipe for my brother-in-law's birthday. It was so good, I was lucky to get a piece for myself. Prep time does not include the marinating time.

    Recipe #159437

I love pickled eggs. This recipe is as good as any I have ever come across. Serve these up instead of deviled eggs at your next get together--they'll go fast.

    Recipe #159045

There are a lot of bean salad recipes out there, but this one is far and away the best I've ever come across. Try to find Vidalia onions, but any sweet onion will do.

    Recipe #158946

Next time you're in the mood for Greek food, but you don't want to slave away in the kitchen, try this quick and easy recipe. If you have greek seasoning on hand you can skip making your own; making this recipe all the quicker. Of course, you'll need Tzatziki sauce. For that see recipe#153803. Minute steaks are also known as Steak Ums.
