This was printed in BHG's Prize Tested Recipes, May, 1994. It certainly has been a winner with my family and friends...kudo's to Judy Acheson who created it and won $100 bucks! I am posting it here for fear of losing the cut out magazine page. This is such a refreshing meal in the summer time served with some good bread and a green salad. The recipe makes 10 main dish servings. I have made the recipe X5 for events and it always gets compliments. The only changes I make from what is printed here is I double the amount of grapes and celery. Prep time includes cooking, cooling and dicing the chicken and chopping all of the other ingredients while chicken is cooking. Cooking time is chilling time in fridge. Hope you enjoy!

This is a recipe that I lost and just found today so I am posting it. It was created by Michael Symon and posted on the Calphalon site many years ago. He states that this soup was made famous by his grandfather. It is my all time favorite chicken soup although I have never had truffles to add to the dumplings. I am posting it in it's original form even though I cheat and replace about half of the chicken stock with water. I also simplify some of the stock making steps and throw some additonal minced tarragon into the final pot. This makes a LOT of soup.

A cold, refreshing, EASY salad that is good as an appetizer, snack, or dessert. It is So simple to make and leftovers keep well in the fridge. I recently served this at a rehearsal dinner and it got more raves and comments than any other food that was served!

I was going through all of my recipes, trying to decide which one to use to serve a crowd of people the next day. I finally could not decide between 3 recipes, so I combined the best features from each and came up with this. It was so easy to make and everyone said it was delicious. I am rewriting it here while it is fresh in my mind. Plus I will have it for future reference. Hope you enjoy!

My family's favorite bread recipe. There are others on the site that are similar, but thought I'd post this because of the different ratio of ingredients. This one uses less sugar. I Got this recipe from a Mennonite woman years ago. My kids call it beer bread. The starter has stayed in my refrigerator for weeks without feeding it. The longer it stays, the stronger the beer flavor. If you start the process in the morning you will have dinner rolls or a fresh loaf of bread for dinner the next evening.

My family's favorite chili. I always make it the day after Thanksgiving to use up some of the leftover turkey. It is equally good using leftover chicken. My family loves this ladled over a slab of corn bread and then topped with shredded Monterey Jack cheese! This chili is very robust...hope you enjoy it!
